So this is in no way a QQ thread, nor a thread for abuse, if you reply please try to be constructive
So we recently got johnson, and he feels like a unique hero, but colony (the only banished dlc hero atm) honestly doesn’t, they feel like a…worse version of atriox, now let me explain before you hate on me
The Goliath, is horrible…its slow moving, deals very little damage to anything besides buildings (even with skitters) and lacks the mobility jump brutes have, even with its high health pool. it seems to die faster then most other units (prob due to lack of armor), I feel this unit needs to have a secondary upgrade that does something such as give it siphon, or a shield, as its just too un-viable outside of using colony drop when your having a successful rush, otherwise…locust are just straight up better
The Skitter, is an interesting unit that provides decent early game power, but its far too expensive to be utilized outside of the 12 minute mark, taking 2 unit slots and not providing much outside of a miniscule amount of health/damage, it should be given more of an impact (such as a shield or defense boost to the attached unit via upgrade) or be made cheaper
The Hunter Captain, this guy feels pretty decent, being incredibly bulky for a hero unit, but he lacks the defense he would need to utilize his hero power properly, as he seems to die to quickly to everything (even with skitters), should either consider a new hero power or some form of defense upgrade (even with the taunt upgrade he dies in seconds)
The overall design of colony feels like they would want to build and attach units to each other, but the overall design isn’t there, so heres some changes I would make
Damage Symbiotes, a new unit replacing the suicide grunts, they would have the ability to attach to other units to empower them giving the attached unit a 20% damage boost and give it additional damage to infantry (different slots then the skitters, limit 1 per unit)
Defense Symbiotes, a new unit replacing the jump brutes, can attach to units giving them a 15% health shield (35% for infantry units) also gives them additional damage to buildings (different slots then the skitters, limit 1 per unit)
Range Symbiotes, a new unit replacing the elite rangers, can attach to a unit to increase their range 100% and vision by 200%, in addition, they would now deal additional damage to air units (also enables units like the hunters to now attack air units) Cannot attach to Goliaths (different slots then the skitters, limit 1 per unit)
Goliath would have 2 upgrades not 1, with the first one giving it a siphon and the second one remaining the same, in additon it would no longer be a building killer, but instead the core infantry of the colony
Skitter, no longer an power, instead replacing the chopper as the scout unit, in addtion, attached unit gains a 10% movespeed bonus per skitter, additonally, attached unit takes reduced power damage by 15% per skitter (power being things such as hunters brand/eradication and such)
New tier 1 ability for colony would be Symbiotic repair (in place of skitter which is no longer a power), slowly repairs units outside of combat (must have not been in combat within the past 15 seconds) that have symbiotes attached
Hunter captain, Would now have things changed, overcharge is his new ability, increasing his damage by 25%, first upgrade would be taunt, forcing the unit hes attacking to attack him, 3rd would be siphon overcharge, causing overcharges damage to increase to 50% while reducing the targets damage by 25%, additonally gives him siphon passively
New upgrade for the hunter unit, Upgrading it into a Hunter Elders giving them additional health and damage, ALSO, they will take 20% reduced damage from vehicles
Finally, a replacement to plasma mines power…upon upgrading, the colony may now have 2 Hunter captain units on the field at a time
An fyi, symbiotes would be robot like units with very low hp, meaning utilizing them for a rush will not work
Give me your thoughts on these changes that i would make to make the colony feel like a unique army, and not just an army with minor changes
