My question is, if I buy halo CEA i understand i get the new map pack along with the re done SP. but i am not clear on if I play CEA do I have the entire reach MP so i dont have to switch discs (aka ODST) or is it just anniversary map pack?
If I do have to switch back to Reach disc to play the same MP why did they do that? Why couldnt they have done an ODST and at least given the convient way of accessing the entire halo MP. I really want the redone SP but now i feel like i should just DL the map pack for reach as well so if i want to play MP i dont have to switch around if i feel like switching playlist. for all their talk of not splitting the halo MP community it seems they are doing a decent job of it.
Tt just seems like a big money scam… idk. im just in general confused why they did it this way… In the end I love halo so I will buy CEA probably. But I hope someone can understand why I am perplexed by this…
BTW i have not bought CEA yet so if there is something i am missing please let me know…
The H:CEA disc contains the Anniversary maps. You can access the Anniversary Playlists through the H;CEA disc, or you can use the map pack download code provided when you buy the game to download the map pack and play those same playlists through the H:R disc.
Wow thanks for that tip i havent rewad that anywhere i guessed i missed that info :P.
Well looks like Halo: CEA is redeemed in my eyes lol.
But if i really wanted to be picky, i think the way ODSt did it is a little more convinent…
You are missing something. First, there is simply not enough room to fit ALL of Halo Reach’s multiplayer mode on one disk with the campaign on the other. They would have to add ANOTHER disk making it 3 disks and they really wanted to keep the price down to $40 as the game is essentially a gift from 343. 3 disks would probably double the price to $80. That is why they couldn’t do the multi-disk method. Also, Halo CEA has all the maps on it so that players who don’t have Reach can still participate in the multiplayer, except only the classic playlists. Also, if a player like you who has Halo Reach buys the game, there is a special code that allows you to download the map pack for free from the marketplace which means that you to only have to swap disks to play the Halo CEA campaign.
