This just popped into my mind. Well, 2 things. First I thought about K/d. And how everybody on B.Net would disregard my opinion (Back when I was a noob at Halo, with a less that 0.2 k/d. During what, 2011 April? I’m usually winning/MVP on the MLG playlist now. If you call that an improvement.) by seeing it. Or insult me. Um, that was terrible. And it also caused Living Dead to lose it’s lust of skill locations. (Remember Sword Base?)
2nd thing.
Did we all seem to forget about BPR? Or other stats?
It shows skill, and records the stuff online. In fact, I would say it’s FAR better than 1-50, and in H4 would be even better than Reach because Reach matched you with just about randoms, while Halo 4 would at least match you with similar skilled players. What does this mean? This means:
We have a visible number that can show skill.
It calculates everything; Not just wins and k/d, but betrayals, flag caps, quits, etc. Things which might not be counted on a game-oriented playlist.
It’s not Halo 4 only; We can get a All-Halo-Games stat, and Halo 4 stat, and all that jazz.
And finally…
We can pull it up in game! Halo 4 has Waypoint ‘built in’, so I don’t see why we can’t go to waypoint to compare stats and check another guy’s stuff out by accessing their in-game Spartan Card first, and then check it out on waypoint!
So there we go! We have a number that represents skill.
The rest is up to the community. Will we go back to insults, or will we go beyond that, to become having fun, improving and complimenting each other?
