Abnormally long war games load times...

I’m wondering if this issue has to do with the current server issues…

When I join a matchmaking game, I get to the giant UNSC spinning light thing that takes up the whole screen, and it stays up for literally 3-4 minutes. When I finally get put into the game, each team has almost 20 kills. This happens every time I try to join a match. Is anyone else having this issue?

I have the limited edition COD: Modern Warfare 2 xbox 360. I installed all updates necessary. Disk 2 is installed on my xbox, and disk 1 is not (Trying to run the game with disk 1 installed resulted in crash on start up). I am directly connected to my router, and I am recording speeds of up to 18 Mb/s. I have opened the necessary ports to my router for xbox live as well.

Any response would be appreciated.

UPDATE

So I opened ever single port I could on my route, ran a ping test and a speed test… everything is fine. I loaded Halo:Reach to check if i would have the same probelm, and everything ran perfectly. This is definitely a problem with the game/servers. I would really like to know when I should expect this to be fixed. I bought 3 months of Gold membership, and this is chipping away at the time I have left… 343i… you’re my only hope.

i honestly haven’t payed much attention to wait times. I go through the matchmaking process of picking the gametype and all that but while i’m waiting i usually look at my commendations, spartan, etc. hope it gets fixed for you man.

This issue is actually happening to me in the screen after the 4 beeps to start the match, so I can’t check my commendations and armor stuff. It’s the giant spinning UNSC eagle screen.
