Able to Add Teamates In single player Ops

So I was thinking what if you have the free version of Xbox live or you just want to do a spartan ops mission that’s not on the matchmaking playlist but non of your friends want to tag along so your basicaly stuck doing the mission by yourself. Quick fix and a suggestion 343 could make an update that allows you to place up to three more Computer controlled players in the single mode of Spartans and you can choose a level of skill as well. And for those of you who will be against this because there will be the option to not do that will be available.

See I sometimes play a few missions by myself because the available online ones are cool bit eh sometimes I get bored of playing the same online ones. So I play solo since most of my friends are in wargames so I get stuck running through a few missions of Spartans ops by myself. So just imaging if you will being able to play by yourself and have 3 computer controlled teammates setting how they work. Even how they look from armor to gender granted only armor you unlocked would be available .and if people for some reason disagree with this don’t know why it wouldn’t affect the gameplay for you unless you chose to do this rest assure if you rather just tackle the missions alone then go at it bit if you find yourself unable to find your friends wanting to tag along or just want to do your own damn thing why not have this as an option it would be like signing in 3 Xbox live guest except the computer controls them. Kinda like the marine and spartan air already in the game. only you basically create your own fire team crimson.

Just a suggestion hey I didn’t make the game just a consumer with an idea that would appease to me and perhaps others in the halo 4 spartan ops community.

Would they be killable?

Sounds like a good idea for Halo 5.

Yea they would be killable but also respawn as since you and regualr players can respawn why not your AI teamates.

It’s a good idea. Instead of being ‘Crimson Team with only one guy’ all the time, you can have AI allies to help through the parts that are quite tough alone.
Just don’t let them have all the current AI’s quirks (e.g. Shooting corpses with power weapons, driving very poorly, friendly fire…).

i do see it weird when when playing

“well done crimson team, get you’re spartans outta there”

when you’re one spartan, not really a fireteam

Thats a good idea. It makes no sense being on a spartan team with only one person fighting at a time. I always ask where are the other spartans, it just makes sense to add teammates while you are fighting.

Don’t forget how they can’t damage anything with their melees (pathetically slow I should add).

@op sounds good, but respawning is apparently too difficult to implement (which is why the AI are often full-time invincible), not to mention it would make battles way too easy. So instead, give them the ability to get back up like in Halo 3.

It’s an awesome idea, but remember that its also an incentive to buy live. -Yoink!- is going to use it against you.

Hmmm yea the money thing well hopefully they dont i mean its just something to cater to some of the offline players sometimes some people cant afford xbox live but will stay playing a game until they can again you know.

This is so incredibly convenient that I feel I need to post this.

That is one of the reasons why a 2004 game is still alive. SW: Battlefront 2 developer Pandemic allowed the players to alter the game as they wanted. Since the majority of players were mature people who wanted to have fun and others to have fun too, everybody started to make awesome maps, weapons, secondary campaigns, and even a tittle update made by the community itself.

I would love to make Halo mods to add some really cool stuff to the game itself, but I know and understand the risks that would come with the release of the assets. That includes unfair games on MM, assets being used on other games without permission, and the list goes on for long. Mostly because the situation of many, many players who want to have fun only themselves, and would make a nuke weapon to kill every player every time they respawn…

I would definitely love to have AI partners in SO.

I’ve often thought about such things too, but those problems wouldn’t be too hard to fix in theory. The way Halo works is the weapons, vehicles, etc. are all tags on a map. Every map has these tags. If you add tags to the map to give you let’s say, a nuke, then every other player would probably need those tags.

Still, that doesn’t rule out the possibility of such things being exploited. I’ve had matches in Halo PC where there were invisible teleporters, walls, etc. All that would need to be done is for the player’s map files to be scanned everytime they start the game up. If any tags are found on the player’s map files for Matchmaking maps, then they will receive an error message telling them they’re MM files are corrupter, and they are unable to play Matchmaking.

I do hope 343i can make this possible major awesome improve. now with all the map packs out and pretty much almost everyhting out all we are waiting on is season 2 why not add this feature as someting to keeps us qualled before its release.
