Ability to make forge pieces disappear mid game

This is old news most likely, but I have seen a few maps already using Invasion where completing objectives makes certain forge objects disappear (ie: shield barriers on Boneyard or the disappearing walls on Breakpoint). I myself have made a map that includes these features along with “changing” the time of day using special effects. Sadly, these options are only avaliable for Invasion because you have to label an object as a gate to make it disappear.

This feature should return in Halo 4 but become an option. Maybe a despawn timer or some other reason for it to disappear but it would pave the way for a few cool forge games me and my friends have been thinking of.

For example lets say your playing Slayer and one team gets 25 kills. A few forge pieces blocking an area of the map disappear because a team had reached the number of points required.

Or your playing infection and a few doors leading to more pathways are on timers. You have to fight off zombies in certain area’s until the next area opens up.

Those are just ideas but the option for objects to disappear is very appealing.

What do you guys think?

This’d be a cool feature. It’d make lots more maps be a bit interesting too, especially infection maps.

I’d love to see this in Halo 4. We’d be able to really make some interesting maps, take Infection for example. Your playing on a map that, over time, unlocks and gets bigger, rewarding players that survive for longer.
