Ability to disable map boundaries

We don’t care if it looks gross outside of the invisible map boundaries! We want to be able to build forge objects out there or play custom games on the fringe areas of the map!

Yes we do! Or at least I do…

That would be cool. I would also like adjustable boandaries to prevent people from leaving the intended area of the map (ie. Forge world or kinky Halo dungeon.)

This goes hand in-hand with the developers no longer making physical objects outside the boundaries of the maps. In Halo CE to Halo 3, most of the stuff which looked like it could be walked on could actually be walked on. Cairo Station and New Mombassa are great examples.

Take a look at Halo 2 Anniversary, and it illustrates the problem. Most of the time, to collect the goodies found outside the boundaries of the normal play area of the campaign, you actually have to switch to the old graphics–because with the new graphics, there’s terrain which isn’t solid and completely obscures where the actual terrain is.

The older Halos encouraged exploration. The newer ones…don’t.
