Alright my first major issue is; we have 3 new abilities.
- Thruster (Quick Evade of damage)
- Spartan Charge (Quick Dispatch of an enemy while sprinting)
- Ground Pound (Quick dispatch of enemby from above)
These things need to be balanced.
Thruster should counter either of the damage dealing abilities.
Spartan charge hitbox is too big I think; (Gamer DVR - Xbox clips, Twitch clips and streams, Xbox screenshots, Xbox videos, Xbox DVR and more on Gamer DVR!) in my eyes my thrust to the right looked timed right to dodge the charge; tell me if you disagree. Which proves hitbox is definitely huge.
Ground Pound should be countered by thrust as well; I don’t have clip of this; but I find this much of a problem; ground pound has a balanced hitbox for certain times.
I feel melee is too strong, with the added ability of spartan charging; melee shouldn’t pop your shields; I think I regular melee should put you to 10% to 15% shields; spartan charge however would take 100% of shields; I’m debating on trying this in custom settings and seeing how it plays; a triple beatdown system would be fine for me… I like the encounters of beatdown, then shots; I find a double beatdown trade is too common and frankly annoying.
This would also bleedthrough to other gametypes like swat and breakout; each of those would have a beat down + body shot for kill
With this more shots would need to be fired before beating a player down; a hit in the back is a different story; but a face to face beat down; common these shields get popped by a high calibur sniper rifle from body shot; but a spartans punch is just as powerful?
