Okay by this point we already accepted the presence of armour abilities… WHY?
I love Reach, but there are things about it that make it absolutely terrible at times. Here are the things that most people hate about Reach:
Armour abilities.
Need I go further? So in 343’s mind, they thought “Huh, let’s take the one thing that makes the game unbalanced and ADD IT NON-CANONICALLY!”
Oh and also, sprint… SERIOUSLY? What the hell is the point of even playing if as soon as I see someone they can sprint away and have their teammate pick up the pieces?
I’m very tired so one last thing: Personal Ordnance Drops… I MIGHT AS WELL GO PLAY ANY OTHER GENERIC FPS! I play Halo because I love it’s unique and deep nature.
Looks like 343 doesn’t respect us fully to completely scrap the essence of Halo for some higher population and higher pay-checks. I’m not saying that this is true, but it’s a possibility.
I have already pre-ordered the Limiited Edition, why? Because all of the past games that BUNGIE made were so balanced and beautiful.
Goodbye player equality, balance between casual and competive, and a lack of a kill-streak system… HELLO Ordnance Drops, Halo-esque before-game perks, and double-pummling noobs using sprint to their full advantage.
Sprint is good, but core? NO.
I’m going to bed.
EDIT: I enjoy the presence of armour abilities IN REACH. It can not and SHOULD NOT move forward into Halo 4. Why 343, why? Just ignore us?
> There’s a classic playlist without Armor Abilities you know…
Be that as it may, but why would we rely on a singular playlist to experience beautifully-balanced gameplay, when you can have the ENTIRE GAME be amazing like that?
PODs are also only available in certain playlists… and they basically only give you a temporary upgrade or a weapon that could more than likely be found on the map already.

I had heard this but did not know if was completely confirmed by anything.
POD’s are only in Infinity Slayer and are not based purely on kills, like CoD’s killstreaks, but rather everything you do in a match.
Reach’s attempt at AA’s wasn’t the best but remember it was the first attempt and they can be improved. And I don’t know what you mean by adding them non-canonically?
I don’t know if you have seen the MLG footage but Halo 4, to me, looks pretty fast and smooth for an early-ish build.

I went back and played Halo 3 the other day. It was boring.
Armor abilities are a new and interesting addition to the gameplay. No matter what, the old gameplay will be stale and boring to me. Especially Halo 3 gameplay. BR the game I mean.
I was charged by a hunter and I couldn’t do anything. He was just charging me and I was back pedaling unloading into him. Not fun. That all Halo was before armor abilities anyway. Boring back and forth straffing. Nothing interesting.

Sounds like you shouldn’t have been so close to him.
