AA's similiar to Halo 3's equipment?

Anyone else feel like the AA’s and other equipment (Grenades etc) in Halo 4 are almost like a throwback to Halo 3’s equipment?

By that I mean the AA’s and grenades etc are similiar, if not the same as the equipment in Halo 3.

E.g. The Pulse grenade really reminds me of the Energy drain.

Some of the AA’s are also either exactly the same as pieces of equipment or are variations and improvements on it.

Regen returns as an AA.

Auto-sentry was a piece of equipment in the campaign, as was Active Camo (I know this is a returning AA from Reach, just saying) and the Hardlight shield is an improved and more balanced version of the Bubble shield or Drop shield from Reach.

I feel that this sort of combines the gameplay of Halo 3 and Halo Reach and I really like that. What do you lot think?

I don’t think so in my opinion.

In my opinion the Hardlight shield is closer to the deployable cover from Halo 3 but yeah I agree with you.

Regeneration Field = Regenerator
Hardlight Shield = Deployable Cover
Active Camo = Active Camo
Auto Sentry = Sentinel
Pulse Grenade = Power Drain

Oh yeah I forgot about the deployable cover. You’re right it is closer to that.

Grav Lift=New Jetpack

Also, Active Camo has the properties of the Radar Jammer from H3.

Ah yes yes thank you for reminding me of the Radar Jammer in Halo 3 , I always forget it lol.

They seem to be a bit more personalized than equipment, in the sense that they are not consumed and never used again, they are now with you the entire time you are in battle.

the abilities aren’t what matters when comparing equipment to AAs.

The problem with AAs is that they are not on the map and they are not a 1 time use item.
