AA penalties

i think a cool addition to AA’s would be penalties. these would be active in regular slayer playlists and add a little more coordination as to who uses what ability examples being

Sprint:
Armor Lock: can only hold 1 grenade of each type
Active Camo: can not use precision weapons
Drop Shield: start with sticky grenades
Jet Pack: can not use heavy weapons

i cant think of ones for hologram or sprint that would seem like a balanced negative attribute … maybe no sword for sprint? idk… its just an idea

anyway this could be its own game mode, and maybe making it so no two people can choose the same perk while they are alive

Very interesting idea it seems a little too class based for halo, armor abilities should be map pick ups with sprint starts.

This idea does not sound very balanced or fun. The penalties, as you call them, are not very applicable to the Armor Abilities they affect. And they would further the separation between different Armor Ability load-outs, which knocks down the cool thing about them - the ability to switch, well, abilities, without having to make a playstyle change or being forced into a certain combat role you don’t want.
