AA/Equipment Proposal (Short)

If AA’s or equipment make it back into H4 I have an idea on how they can change

Keep AA loadouts, BUT give them a limited usage (1-3 times). Once you’ve used up all the energy, you have to get a recharge pack (similar to health pack) to be able to use it again.

Y/N, Why?

No.

I like the creativity of AA’s, but they should NOT be in regular matchmaking. They should be a custom game exclusive ONLY.

The only way they should make their way into matchmaking is Via Action Sack.

AA’s feel like 10 golf clubs littered around the pit on Halo 3.

I think that instead of what you proposed, they would be equipment-esque pickups, and then they act as you described. Honestly, they should make a variety of playlist with armor equipment, nothing, and then some with reach’s AA thing. then everyone would be pleased. Too bad this is a bit overcomplicating things but i dont see a better solution at the moment.

No. The problem is still there. You limited their uses, but you can still spawn with whatever one you want and can still use them multiple times. Equipment needs to come back as it was in Halo 3 if some form of it should return.

Ya, they can be fun for custom games but they shouldn’t of been featured in any competitive playlists.

would love to see Energy Drain again.

This.

Just bring back equipment; the old ones and some new ones.

Bring back equipment, add a option in Customs for “infinite equipment” that lets you use the equipment over and over as though it were an AA. Then use that option in certain playlists like AA Slayer or Action Sack.

And Jetpack could return in some form… as equipment. It could a “booster” and it should be less powerful than the jetpack. It should have limited fuel and once that’s gone, no-more jet-packing, but have the option to be unlimited. Not a hard thing to do.

I’d rather the deployable grav lift. One time use, and serves a similar basic idea to the jetpack without being as effective as it.

but defineately make sprint a standard function, not an armor ability, and so u can always run, sprints is the only one i ever use, otherwise i just feel slow

I do too. However, I’m trying to… compromise. :stuck_out_tongue:

I still want AAs to die in a fire, however.

That’s because Reach’s base-player speed is slower than the older Halo games. Just increase base-player speed and you won’t really need sprint.

no i liked sprint cause i didnt feel like a slug anymore

and i like being able to control my speed during the game, i hate changing the base speed, it makes everything look sloppy

> no i liked sprint cause i didnt feel like a slug anymore

And I hate it because people run away or use the stupid Sprint double-pummel crap instead of shooting you. Even if it is the lesser of all evils (AAs), you don’t need Sprint in a Halo game as long as you can move faster on your own.

The inclusion of Sprint added all sorts of problems to Halo.

This

i strongly prefer the AA over equipment from halo3, i like actually being able 2 do stuff, but it would be cool to have both

I disagree. AAs are detrimental to game-play and added a lot of noobish tactics to the field, especially AL.

Essentially: they were made to cater to the noobs who aren’t very good at Halo and complained, or those who never played a Halo game, or the COD/BF/Shadowrun crowd.
