So I am aware that they won’t be adding anything else to Halo 4 really, but I had an interesting idea for Halo 5 maybe.
Shield Relocation- like in the books Spartans can decide where to dedicate their shield strength, Shield Relocation would send all your shield’s power to the front for head on fights. It would give you 200% strength on your forward flank, leaving your back shieldless. It would have a decently long recharge time, and if you use it in a firefight chances are you will get shot in the back and die much faster.
What if for a few seconds your shields will focus on where ever your getting attacked from, but it will only focus on one side or the side being attacked most.
> So, I could put my back to the wall and own enemies. Great idea OP.
You are far from invincible, and its only for about 7 seconds.
If two guys came at you, you’d still be dead.
It would encourage teamwork as well, while not de-valuing power weapons.

If I was good, 200% shields will help me fend off both guys. And seven seconds is longer than I need.
This system is used in many space-sims, like star trek online or Darkstar one. If you choose to “enhance” one shield, you’ll drain all others to 25% and they’ll have a hard time regenerating, it might work.
Or, why not use the same system as the link gun from Unreal, you can “share” 50-75% of your shield with a nearby allies, increasing their shield while lowering yours (limited range). It would encourage teamplay, while still easy to counter by killing the shield provider.
