I posted this in another thread, but I thought it deserves it’s own thread.
When you introduce a mechanic in a game, you have to balance ease of use with effectiveness and availability. For example, the sniper is very effective, but it’s not available all the time. The halo ce pistol was effective, but hard to use.
Armor abilities are easy to use and are very effective. This is why people don’t like them. The solution would be to either nerf all of them. Or keep them as they are and make them map pickups. There’s a reason that nobody complains about hologram. It’s effectiveness Is properly balanced with its availability. Armor lock and jet pack are WAY too effective for their availability.
Armor abilities are most likely going to be in halo 4. I just hope they follow what I have posted above.
