lulz, is this thing not a slap in the face to all the AL users or what? I mean, can we get some thoughts on it? Are any AL users from Reach finding it effective in MM?
I personally like to throw a nade behind the user and them jump and melee their corpse as it flies over my head from the explosion, but that’s just me.
Do you not like the players that use it or do you find it not a usefull AA?
I find it absolutely hilarious, and a free kill. In fact I hunt for those that use it once I figure it out.
I don’t know the players to know if I like them or not. But is this thing not the “crutch” that Armor Lock once was in Reach?
I use it and I think it is not so good at close range, it is very effective when going up against opponents at range. If they deplete your shield you can side step and fast walk with it to cover, or use it as a distraction if you have friends. It can also deflect a scorpion shell, with no damage to you. If you use it at close range the enemy wins most of the time.
You first have the option to use it in the campaign with a Phantom bearing down on you so it makes sense that it’s anti-vehicle.
It’s a very situational armor ability, and it excels in it’s preferred situation.
If I’m in a long-range duel with somebody and find that I want to disengage, I can use it to move out of his field of view safely and re-engage at my own choosing. It can reflect any direct hit as well, including scorpion tank shells. Just hope they don’t aim at your feet.
It’s a purely defensive armor ability, and it has limited uses, but it DOES have its uses.
