I’m going to start making some videos, and I was curious, what’s the best use of tags?
I see some that seem to have 100’s of tags and others that either don’t have any or have them hidden somehow. If you are able to hide them, please tell me.
And could anyone suggest the best amount and which tags to use?
Best ways to, I believe it’s called “monopolizing?”. It’s where you get X amount of money for the ad on your video.
And how do you use songs without any copyright issues/any disclaimers I should use?
And lastly, could anyone give me any addition advice I should know? Please and thank you!
You are lucky I found this post. I am a YouTube Partner. First off, when you first begin YouTube tags are very important. What I reccomend doing first is taking your video’s title and for every word putting a bunch of synonyms for each word as your tags, along with your title. Then put your channel name and the name of the game in the tags, throw in a few interesting words and bam! You have your tags. You may want to copy and paste the tags in your description as well. Use as many as YouTube will allow. Next, it is called monetizing or claiming, depending on if you are Partnered with YouTube or a network. If you do gaming you MUST be partnered with a network as you will be able to legally make money off of most games as where with YouTube you could get some copyright trouble. Lastly for music, most music is not allowed on YouTube for copyright reasons, for music to use in your videos go to: http://incompetech.com/ . Make sure to give credit in the description!
Thanks for the info, I’m curious though, I noticed none of your vids display tags, is there a way to use them and have them hidden so they don’t clutter of the page?
Never mind, noob mistake. I seemed to recall tags being shown and I would see like 100’s of them in video descriptions, but I guess they don’t show up anymore.
