Well, the reclaimer trilogy has been announced.
That means Halo 4, 5 and 6. I don’t know if that is good or bad, I guess its a bit of both.
I expect lots of the community will go back to Halo 3 & Reach if they don’t like the new series, but the majority will stick with it. So far, I think 343 have done 4 justice and it looks like an improved version of reach, better graphics, elements of halo 3 that reach lacked and new stuff to make it fresh.
The thing I like about Halo is that every game is pretty awesome. Bungie took time on them, years and years, and when they were perfect they were released. Each game was enough to keep me hooked until the next one, obviously off and on.
Games like Call of Duty don’t really do this, they release a new game yearly. I have CoD: Black ops and Modern Warfare 3, and to be honest, I have barley played MW3. If you look between the two games it just feels like MW3 is a content pack with some maps and game-types, the graphics are almost identical, the only major difference is the campaign.
I’m just worried, that like CoD, 313i will fall in to the yearly situation where less effort is put in to the games, and they are rushed out. Obviously CoD still manages to be the biggest shooter, but that isn’t because the games are perfect, at least, not for me. I don’t think 313i will do this, but I guess if they get too hungry they could do.
But really my point is there is going to be a new trilogy, three games. If its successful, probably more. I think Halo is on a high right now and I’d disappointed if it was milked too far. If you think about it, that’s 9 FPS halo games, including CAE & ODST, now thats a lot, and I won’t be surprised if the last couple aren’t as good as 3, which was my favorite.
I will be buying Halo 4. If its awful I won’t necessarily be playing it much, but I feel Halo is my favorite FPS, and I’m not going to be a stubborn -Yoink- like some people who are whining on about it because its not made by Bungie.
