I shouldn’t have to put this, but this is in no attempt to open up a hate fest, or flame war. This is not a troll post, this is me thinking openly to try to solve the issue I, and others have with the req system.
I’m not here to **** on this system, it’s obviously doing what was intended, and that was to rob and milk people blind. RNG mechanics are there to feast on gambling addictions, and or, install them, to latter feast on.
But, there’s a huge imbalance with the req system. I’ve completed the bronze packs, but before I even started I was buying silver and golds. I’ve probably bought upwards of 50 gold, and probably 100+ silver. I’ve yet to get certs for the splaser, banshee, phaeton, and other good reqs. Do you know why this sucks? I for one can’t use a vehicle outside of a tank to help my team, but, on top of that, I have no anti-vehicular weaponry outside of the plasma pistol. Which… With wheelman now out, is nerfing that.
There’s other issues of course. I haven’t unlocked a DMR yet, which sure, doesn’t sound like a big deal, but it’s a meta gun.
The req system could be solved by giving an option to buy the certs and single(multiple) uses with req points themselves. Helmets and Armors too… You may say, “well then we can’t rob you blind.” Of course you can… Introduce the option to buy points with money.
Then you’re going to say “what about the lesser reqs people won’t want?” What about them? I sell every single boltshot I get, same with every scout warthog. They get 0 love and use from me… Even still… Keep the req packs in. Reduce the price on them. But have prices for armor, weapons, vehicles etc be as follow.
Common Req- 5000 PT’s
Uncommon- 10,000 PT’s
Rare Req- 15,000 PT’s
Ultra Rare- 20,000 PT’s
Legendary- 30,000 PT’s
Mythic- 35,000 PT’s
Bronze Pack- 500
Silver- 2000
Gold- 5000
This would solve a crap load of issues a lot of people have with the game. Do you know how much I’d love to be able to just go into a shop and spend my points on **** I could actually use, or armors I want? Do you know how much more I would play knowing I could do that?
Why this wasn’t an option is beyond me. You have the packs for people who want to attempt to flirt with RNGeesus, while you have people like me who want to actually unlock the things they like, without having to painstakingly mess with RNG. This is real world logic. Anyone who has bought a blind bag, a pokemon pack, magic, yu-gi-oh! heroclix w.e, knows this. You could spend 5 dollars and pull something worth 50$, or pull things that don’t even equate to the 5 you spent. Or, just go buy the damn thing for 50$… Which, is what I usually choose to do, saves me money in the long run. But I digress. Please implent a store for Halo 6, we all know the Reqs are here to stay.
If by some stroke of luck that there’s an oracle up there listening at 343i, add this to halo 5 if at all possible.

Seriously, why this isn’t an option is beyond me. I know I sound sarcastic, but, I feel this would be welcomed better than the RNG.
