I think a fire rate increase would work well for the bulldog let it be the weaker but faster firing brother to the classic shotgun. like the bulldog can be good for clearing large groups of weaker enemies while the classic shotgun is a good one on one combat with stronger enemies. It would make more since to me considering the bulldog have a magazine for its shells that lets you quickly reload and start firing again. The bulldog also has that nice forward grip that should let you quickly ready another shell to fire. Basically lettting us slam fire the bulldog like old classic WWI trench shotguns.

Can’t wait to use the bulldog in infection. Should really cut down on the amount of times whiffing your first shot gets you killed because the old shottie is so slow.
I also think that the ammo is way too scarce. It needs another magazine.

I actually think the Bulldog is fine where it sits. The problem is it’s really the only option in the shotgun category right now so people are trying to brute force it into shotgun roles it wasn’t designed for. Reintroducing the M90 and/or M45 would solve quite a few of the shotgun issues.

yeah i think thee bulldog has a good rule in taking down lots of week mobs. i also think there might need to be a bit more ammo for when you pick it up

Overall I prefer the bulldog where it is (More range, faster fire, less damage) rather than some of the older games trying to shove the shottie into more of a power weapon role that is far too limiting for it.
i do think they do need to add back the M90 but i still fell like you need to be perfect with laying down 3 shots on a person or you will loose that fight. and if they have any support you might as well run if you have a bulldog.

i don’t mind the low damage but i always find it so hard to reliably kill with it i might as well not pick it up. the only way i have reliably gotten kills with it is to sneak up and bash someone then put a round in them.

Certainly a change of pace and needs a bit of getting used to. I’m trying to figure out the right distance to keep enemies pinned down with it.
Had some cool moments like walking into a room post firefight and mowing down the three remaining enemies in there with the bulldog.

yeah stuff like that is what i think it is made for. it just screams room clearing to me.
Yeah they need to bring back the old M90 and make it a power weapon.

They really need to give it a one hit kill when you are “barrel stuffing” someone though.
