When i finished Halo 5’s Campaign and found out that pretty much nothing of the beautiful Genesis or the ancient Sanghelios art style was used for multiplayer I could only think to myself; ‘‘what a waste of potential’’. Currently we can enjoy a wide array of…two Covenant maps…and three Forerunner maps…out of 16 maps total (excluding Forge canvases). The rest is just UNSC. And it’s not even the worn out militaristic UNSC art design, no it’s just shiny floors and boxes. There is nothing we can do about it now but why is this? Why does every map has to look as boring as 343’s office?
Don’t we care enough about the grand vistas and unique art style that made your jaw hit the floor like only Halo could? I do, and I want to see it again. Halo was never really marketed for its art style but I do believe that that was actually a selling point. Halo’s ancient and mysterious maps always sucked you in and made you wonder where you were or what you were looking at. But who cares because now we can enjoy metal brushed floors! that’s exactly what Halo needs. I don’t think that 343 values Halo’s legacy enough. They constantly change the look of everything without having a good reason for it. Lets take the color white. It’s applied to pretty much every human structure in Halo 5. Where Bungie used grey 343 uses white and it makes everything look dull as -Yoink-. Even the Forerunner structures have white surfaces on them. 343 has been terribly inconsistent with Halo’s design.
The point I want to make is that Halo’s art style is actually a helluva lot more important than we think. The ‘‘Halo feel’’ from Bungies games wasn’t so much tied to its gameplay but more to its art direction which 343 (like expected) wiped their butt with. It surprises me that so few people actually complain about this. This is a serious problem to me and to a lot of other Halo fans as well. Halo’s art style is part of Halo’s identity and 343 shouldn’t -Yoink- around with it.
So what do we have do to prevent Halo 6 from having the same issue?
I think they could even throw in some of the old maps like Wizard and do a Elite temple in ruins

In an alternate universe where they did do what you asked… You make another post complaining about how they reused campaign maps for multiplayer and 343 is being lazy… So I guess in no reality anyone wins
A Sanghelios Arena or Warzone map would be amazing. One of the best aesthetics of any Halo game ever.

I might have done that unless the maps were made in the same setting as the Campaign environments without being carbon-copy’s of the Campaign levels.
Map designs should be influenced by the campaign, but not the actual campaign area where you play in like what Halo reach did… But some parts of the campaign would make a good map.

Well they put out dlc every month or at least have been lately…I say we should keep pushing for more content like map’s instead of so many different armor variants…just saying lol
There once was a time where people complained that Highlands on Halo: Reach had a Covenant glassing going on in the distance.
Can’t win em all…

I thought the Highlands glassing was one of the coolest effects in a Halo map, but, like you said, you can’t win 'em all.
a sanghelios themed wz map would indeed be wicked. I’ll be really pissed if they release another ‘unsc’ based map in the next update
A sanghelios themed map in general would be wicked.
To me all the map art looks fine, what bothers meis all the remix maps.
It would be very logical for 343 to put in Shanghelios styled maps. Even though Warzone is a training simulation, Spartans should be experienced with all terrain, making Shanghelios maps logical.
It’s a pretty obviously fact that Halo 5’s multiplayer looks garbage compared to it’s campaign whatever level it’s on xD
