Are you having fun doing this? cause if you are This will be considered illegal. If there’s one thing Reach will NOT tolerate is having FUN, shame on you for trying to enjoy Reach, this is a job not a video game, whats wrong with you!

Instead of pulling the cord on the second controller, depending on the map you play, I will suggest this to you, and works really, really well, for earning big cR payout.
You and a ‘guest’ controller. Play FF Double on Holdout/Arcade. Set up the 'guest with the FRG/Needler, and with you as you wish. This is where you will need a rubber band.
You spawn in the Store Room, and rubber band down the trigger on the ‘guest controller’ with the Needler, and place the player at the top of the stairs firing at the top front door, right in the middle of it. Go and play as you would normally.
Until you have Hertic’s you won;t really need to worry about your ‘guest’ but keep and eye out as Covie like to come up the stairs and a Grunt with a FRG will wipe em out.
Your ‘guest’ IS NOT AFK, as it is and will get kills each and every time that door opens as Covie pass by it, as the Neddler is an ‘auto-aim weapon’ with an average of about 30-50 kills per game.
I have been doing this on both my alt acct and this one, for nearly a year, and not once have I ever been banned or anything. It is completely legit, and you will never have an issue with it, and will earn 6000 to 10,000 cR per game, as the 3000 slot machine pays out more often with this type of game.
