Hot off my 3 day ban I am here to talk about trolling! While I was away (and bored) I was scrolling through YouTube and watched a video on the psychology of trolling which I will leave here. The Psychology of Trolling - YouTube (I hope this is the right one since I’m on my phone)
While I don’t intentionally troll my sometimes sarcastic comments (my gamertag is WIZECRACKER for pete’s sake) can be seen as such since this is the internet and everything is taken personally. I also think that people who flag comments that contain fifth grade level insults are trolls seeing how many posts they can get edited by a moderator.
-edit- I would also like to add to my list, people who pour into the dictionary looking for the most obscure and intellectual words to use in their posts.

You do know this - right or wrong - will likely get you banned, right? It’s against forums rules to critize mod decisions.
If you believe you were unfairly banned, it’d be best to message a monitor with your concerns/issues. Making a thread about it… not so much.

This post isn’t a criticism of the mods but about the internet and just what is considered trolling. I’m raising awareness of how speaking your mind on the internet won’t always turn out so well because there is no face-to-face conversations so people don’t fully understand if you’re joking or being mean spirited.

I get where you are coming from, man. But, like you said, people can’t always tell if you’re “joking”, or you’re intending to be malicious. And throwing out insults, as you confessed to doing, won’t always be taken in the light-hearted way you intended.
Also, just because it was just a joke to you doesn’t mean it wasn’t rude/disrespectful to the other poster.
