I think the reason why Elites are not playable because the Spartan 4s were only mentioned in Glasslands so that means Halo 4 is there frist appearance. The story is more focus on the Spartan 4s and I think the Spartan Ops gamemode is proof that 343’s focus is more on the Spartan 4s than the Elites. Maybe in Halo 5 or 6 will might have Elites back in Mutiplayer.
Well, the multiplayer games actually take place in a holographic training area on the UNSC Infinity, so I don’t think they’d let random Elites on the ship and start training with them.

I disagree it’s been confirmed Elites will drop by for pizza certain times of the month so it wouldn’t be odd if they also trained with them ;), but OP seriously 343 told us why Elites will not be in MM
The same reason they are mostly not in reach, they screw with the hitboxes and aiming of the opposite player.

I’d like to have the Sangheili back in “Competitive” MM or all Multiplayer game types.
I hope 343i realizes they made a mistake, by removing them.
Reasons Sangheili should be in MM:
-It add variety
-They’ve been in Halo since the beginning (MM since Halo 2)
-They have a huge fan base
-If you have a problem with the hitboxes, then ask for it to be fixed.
Canon reasons it’s possible for Sangheili to be on the UNSC Infinity:
-5 years have past since the events of Halo 3.
-They’ve traded representatives.
-The Sangheili and Humans have an alliance, though it isn’t entirely stable.
-The S-IV’s training arena is a simulation.
-Halo 4 is continuing the story of the original trilogy. (Elites were in every game)

That good we now have 3 campaigns and it nice to play the Elites again because it will be a waste of ploygons on a well detale Elite if only shoot they in Chief’s story
