I think I figured out how the glitch works.
The specialization code tricks the system to think that those people bought the LE because the LE code includes Specializations and Map Pass. So people with activated specialization codes tell the system its a LE owner, allow free download.
In other words
Specialization Code Activated = Free Crimson Map Pack Download
Thats what I thought and said hours ago. It was shotdown in 5 minutes, as people without the Specs were posting saying they had the DLC for free.
Makes sense, one of my friends hasn’t gotten his code, and didn’t get free maps. Another friend and I both got codes and maps.
Can anyone counter this?

My buddy got the maps. He doesn’t have specializations
Just curious, when it shows up does it just say 0ms points or is it something else? I have no spec codes unlocked and for me it says its 800ms points. I think its random for everyone.
3 of my friends only had the SE and no spec code and downloaded the maps for free, i bought the season pass and still cant download them, i’m still getting the yellow triangle saying i need to pay 800M$ points for it, WTF???

Use the in game marketplace menu, not the xbox dashboard.
^ loaded up the game, went to marketplace in main menu and it said 800 points. Any other way? I tried the dash earlier same thing.

If you already got the map pass, have you tried downloading the pass again? Go to your system tab, account settings, download history and download the WMP and/or Specs activator again.

Already done this and it still wants 800 points from me in both the in game store and the dash, i’m just going to give up as the maps don’t appeal to me anyway by the sound of them.

Nevermind. I can confirm that it happens if you use the code you get in the email, then after when you boot up 4 itll say spec priority aplha downloaded. Then all you have to do is go to the marketplace and the map pack itself shows up asking to confirm to download, and it says 0ms points and did not cost me a thing. I feel accomplished. FREE STUFF!
