After the past few years 343 Industries has done a lot to not only improve their games, but also mend their relationship to the community Without doubt they’ve made a lot of mistakes, but they’re Human and it happens to everyone. They’ve listened to the community to US THE COMMUNITY and they’ve acted well upon what we called for ranging from improvements to Halo 5 all the way to going back and patching the MCC so that we can relive the stories on the next generation console. With the reveal of Halo infinite last year and the announcement of the MCC port (with Reach) to PC it shows that they’ve heard our calls and answered them to show the people who love Halo and care for both the game and community, do care for us and the games they make. While there are people out there who still hate on 343 and their games for not being “Bungie”, with the release of Halo Infinite and the PC release of the MCC give them another chance to show you that they care for us more than you think. With the last thing to say from me is thank you so much for making Halo games and thank you for both listening and being part of the Halo community.
343 is their own company and they don’t deserve to forever live in Bungie’s shadow. They’re entitled the right to alter the art design, add new enemies and pursue new narratives in ways that makes the franchise theirs—because it’s not Bungie’s franchise anymore. Daddy Bungie left, and Step-Daddy 343’s looking out for you now. He was just trying to be there for you and love you, but he didn’t realize the special bond you had with Daddy Bungie and now he’s trying to recreate that for you, even if it means he’s losing a bit of himself in the process.
This is the difference changing lead roles can make. Chris Lee doesn’t have a main Halo title under his belt yet so we’ll see how H6 goes, but everything he’s done and is doing for MCC goes a long way, for me at least.

That’s actually a kind of sad metaphor if you think about it.

This is like the reunification of the German people. Two communities, long held apart from one another are finally able to reunite under this amazing banner that is Halo.
I have to give credit where credit is due. I think that a lot of mistakes were made with Halo 5, but bringing Halo MCC to PC (with Reach) is an incredibly good move on their part. This is going to be great for the franchise going forward, and it shows that they do care.
Absolutely deserve the props. Excited to play Reach again!
I was going to make a similar post but since I saw this one I’ll just comment here instead. As someone who loves all Halo (yes even Halo 5) I didn’t even expect 343 to go this far with the announcement. At best, I was expecting Halo 2 Anniversary maps (which still would be nice to have 343 if you’re listening!) and if a bigger announcement was made I figured it would be either the PC port or Reach. Certainly not both. So yeah, major props to you 343 for not hyping up a big reveal only for it to be disappointing like so many reveals these days, for blowing away my expectations, and delivering heavily requested features (even though 343 haters could still make the argument too little too late but hey, things change). We need more devs like you!
Ummm, no.
I’ve been a defender of Halo, but Infinite should have been their priority. They could have farmed a PC port of Reach to someone else. The old games are great but they aren’t a substitute for a new one. This latest news pisses me off.
And fix the servers. My UK friends have stopped playing it’s so bad. Either that or set the next game in Tijuana.

I suppose it helps that they said they are also Halo fans😂

Fools! By releasing Reach to the MCC, and releasing the MCC on Steam, 343 is able to secure a LOT of needed funding that will help the development cycle of Infinite long-term. They’ve even contracted two seperate companies to work on it so that they can keep most of their development staff focused on Infinite.

They have though, 343 aren’t doing the majority of this work, the team are primarily focused on Infinite. They’re partnering with Splash Damage to bring the game to PC and Ruffian Games (who have previously worked on getting Halo 3 and 4 into MCC) on bringing over Reach - all this is in the release announcement.
343 deserves a ton of credit. It has been great for Halo, and I can’t wait to see what the future brings!
Thank you so much 343 to bringing it to pc. Many of my friends have never experienced this amazing franchise and soon it will change. Can’t wait to throw them in the ring on halo reach legendary! Also make them ride with Kat off the cliffs, please don’t fix that (LMAO) See you on PC!
Hat’s off to 343. What other game company has put this much effort into their games after so many years. Loving the ride!

Well many tend to do it from the start👍
I’ll give credit to 343 for at least doing it, better late than never.
I’m glad to see them make a move in the right direction, i was worried for a while but this has saved my hope
We should give them and the other two companies partnering up with them credit for making this possible.
You know I remember back in 2016 or 2017, I hated 343 for what at the time were god awful games, Halo 5 and Halo MCC. But I have to give massive props to them, they listened to the community and brought in things for Halo 5 and patched stuff up for Halo MCC, and they’re even bringing Reach to MCC. Honestly they are complete mad lads and I think they deserve all of the praise coming towards them for these actions. These things should have been there at the start but like UEG ShadowAngel put it, “Better late than never.”
