A survey on the fate of Halo.

As the title has already told you, this is a survey to see where our fair community lies. However, it is also a rather farfetched riddle. Your answer is your personal outlook on the Halo franchise.

Two men have been thrown into a pit by a blind conqueror. One man was imprisoned for stealing food. He lacks proper skin and is down to the point where his bones are visible, from years of starvation and abuse. His mind is is chaotic, constantly coming up with ideas, due to past trauma.
The other man was jailed for being a brutal fighter, killing his opponents, one by one. Revered by rebel communities, bane of his enemies. His mind is constantly ahead of his opponents, but slow in deciding, due to past trauma, like the other man.
The pit they have been thrown into is lined with walls that can be scaled, but with immense pain. The conqueror has thrown them here to see who is the better man; the biggest threat.
The skinny man wanders in circles, confused, and going through ideas vigorously. The other man has already thought of a plan already and begins to scale the walls, but continues to slip. The skinny man follows suit, and is now level with the other man. They both continue to scale, until light begins to shine upon them. The large man knocks the skinny man in the chest, and scales with ferocity. The skinny man does not fall, and due to his slender build, he scales without difficulty now.
Both reach the top, but the sun shines down with blinding light, and one man falls back in.
Which man emerged from the pit? Names used here are metaphorical, tell me which man, and his real intended name. This decides your outlook on the franchise, and you will get a PM if you got the answer right.
Also, I’ve tried to add a poll, but it refuses to work. If there is a tutorial, or step-by-step way, I’d like to know. Share your answer to the riddle in this thread until then.

Skinny guy as stated he was nimble

Uhh not for nothing, but what does this have to do with Halo? It’s incredibly opinionated and doesn’t really create any sort of discussion besides Halo 4 sucks or halo 4 is good.

I’m going to say that the skinny man made it out. He thought it through carefully, then came level with the other man, and eventually made it to the top at the same time, the other man was very rushed and did not think it through and his plan was not as effective as the skinny man’s and he kept slipping and trying to climb back up. The skinny man also had quicker reactions to problems, as was stated when he kept climbing after the other man had hit him.

I’m trying to see where our community is today.
This thread is not here to bash Halo or laud it, there are multiple answers to this riddle, and the best reasoning is what makes it the best answer.

Not much of a riddle to be honest considering that the answer is your view and no one else.

Again, there are multiple answers. Provide me with good reasoning and a good answer. Hell, I haven’t picked out an answer. I wanted to see where our community is today.

This is your answer, and to make it correct, tell me the skinny man’s name. It’s all on real life connections. Was the other man Microsoft, a gaming franchise, or Halo? You decide the outcome.
There is no answer picked out.
Good reasoning and a good answer means it’s correct.

So like I said it is not a riddle, since it has no correct answer and has nothing to do with the game.

It’s the community bro. I see goodbye threads, forgive 343 threads, and wars between fans playing Halo 4 and fans who want a better Halo game. They argue over Halo’s state and many opinions are vested there. I’m here to see opinions on who’s happy with the final product, and those who want a better Halo game.
By the way, you’re right on all levels. It’ll be a survey from now on.
Nothing to do with the game, but everything to do with the game’s community.
If I may ask, what’s your answer to this survey?

The skinny man was kinda like bungie, thought things through carefully and eventually reached the top. No offense on 343 though…

I would say the Warrior (Name I gave him) because the other guy was imprisoned for stealing food, and is skin and bone. Too weak to climb out of the pit, yet he somehow made it to the top, only to die of exhaustion in the heat of the Sun and fell back down.

Though a little more reasoning would have been good, you have a terrific answer. You have applied good reasoning to back up your answer, and that’s why it’s correct.

You are basically implying that you are happy with Halo no longer having innovation to further the existing FPS market, and instead would rather see the series copy an already existing juggernaut in order to surpass it. However, the one that is copying traits usually fairs worse in the long run because of it’s lack of uniqueness.
There is my answer.

Nice reasoning, so it’s a good answer. If you we’re to use a real life connection, what would Warrior be in real life(Bungie, Halo, CoD, 343?)?

My personal opinion has no room here. This thread is for the community’s opinion, not mine, isn’t that a reason why forums are used? I am not implying anything. I’m not here showcasing my opinion as “I prefer Halo 4, and I have built a riddle to conceal my personal opinion. Unravel my riddle, and you will discover my opinion.” This is the community’s opinion, and I added a riddle, so there could something small to strive towards. A game.
I take it your answer was the old man, as he stole food(what your answer tells me. If I’m misreading it, I’m sorry) and came out on top. What was the name of the old man?

Personally, I don’t want to go there. I like Bungie and Halo. Yet Halo today is 343’s baby now, so its up to them to sink it or swim UPSTREAM with it. While COD to me is just another game.
So I hope you don’t take me wrong when I say… Go FISH!

Good man ElectroFlying, first guy who is reluctant about bashing companies, and genuinely cares for them.

Thats his point. What makes Halo, Halo…is really in the eye of the beholder. Many people play (and want) Halo in different ways.

But a lot of the community doesn’t see it like that. Its their way or the highway. Its like the crusades all over again.

I believe the skinny man climbed out.
