Hey fellow gamers and possibly 343 & CA staff. So I know that for Awakening the Nightmare we’ll be getting two new maps for free and that’s pretty awesome, I would like to thank the devs for that. So with that said I was thinking if there is any possible way for new maps to be made other than those two, I mean they don’t even have to be new they could just be revamped and reworked maps from HW that are adjusted to work with in HW2. Obviously they won’t be free, not at the beginning anyways, maybe as an addition to the ATN dlc and you increase the price of it by $20 more but at the same time having different versions for example a bundle with both together for $40 or buy them separate $20 for ATN and $25 for the maps season pass. Also as to not split up the player base or make buying the maps seem pointless, since not everyone will have them, make a specific game type,like Halo Reach did, that’s for the maps that’s just chaotic and fun. You could make a mesh of blitz with standard 3v3 in which for like the first 5 minutes or so you play a usual game but you can’t necessarily be rushed or taken out that early you simply use that time to build up your base and capture strategic points like power, supply, or energy generators and once the five minute mark hits you have all out war with your abilities and leader powers having reduced cooldown, fast unit build times, and being able to call in blitz cards something along those lines or even just bringing back tug of war from HW. This won’t need to be balanced that much given the fact that every leader will be out by then so you won’t necessarily have to readjust or tweek things to much. Now back to the maps not being free not at the beginning part, so as to not completely alienate the rest of the player base that didn’t or can’t buy the maps, they should eventually be given for free after a certain time period has passed say 2 months or so after their initial release, sort of like Doom did recently given all the released dlc for free to the rest of the players after time passes. After the first month passes the price for the map should be reduced to what it is with the season. I just thought this would be cool given the fact that we won’t probably get any new halo game until sometime next year. So what do you guys and gals think about this. Would this be a good/bad idea or what would you rather do?
