Just throw in a full auto plasma rifle with slight tracking and you’ve created the perfect replacement for the Pulse Carbine.
Either that, or have both. Pulse Carbine has some niche utility.
The pulse Carbine is pretty decent and the “perfect” TTK on this is extremely fast.
The tracking(homing) actually ruins the close range capabilities though, because it doesn’t allow the player to lead shots. I wish it had less homing on close range or just had homing when zoomed.

The Storm Rifle wasn’t a very interesting weapon because it was super effective.
It’s important that the game separates anti-shield weapons and anti-health weapons because it adds depth to the gameplay.
Either way my money is on a pulse carbine variant that functions like the storm rifle. There are already variants of other weapons & equipment in campaign & customs. So this seems obvious.
If I was to launch this I’d have a faster firing, non tracking pulse carbine. Do away with ADS and have left trigger activate alt fire that functions similar to how it does now
