A specialization should be flag dropping

It would be very useful and good to have a flag carrier with this ability. It could really help the team and be a valuable skill, being able to drop the flag and switch weapons.

Or even get to use a third weapon, the amazing appearing pistol you get when you pick up a flag.

A specialization specified to a certain mode?

Heck no.

Here’s an idea: Make it so you can drop the flag normally, and in order to pick it up you have to hold X like every other game.

I think rewarding the ability to drop a flag with perks is the best way to go.

That destroys the game type 343 is trying to establish.

A game where you are forced to hold onto a flag and can’t drop it?

Yeah, it’s their vision. How they chose to advance the series.

It’s such a minuscule thing. When asked to depend on team play the community freaks out. It’s truly sickening. Especially since a majority of the community never even touches the magnificent playlist.

I frequent the objective hopper and see no problem with it.

I mean, seriously, thats as cheap as it gets.

Thats what people are worried Halo will become, like CoD: Perks that make it so one team can dominate.

Thats what this would do.

well, there’s already one that does that: Requisition - reroll your ordnance: only in certain modes that have them

I would be more so for it if it wasn’t auto pickup.

If I accidentally get the flag cause the carrier dies…that is just dumb. There is no reason for it.

And, yes, I play as much CTF as I can. There should seriously be a playlist for it.

True, but I’m thinking their gonna make it in a lot more modes than just Infinity Slayer.

Regardless, this is a VERY specific mode.

I agree with you there. Auto pick up is rather odd but we have seen their reasoning. It’s feels more fluid to just walk into it and pick it up than pushing a button. Not to mention quicker.

It will suck backing into it, but at the same time be pretty exciting.

They aren’t asking us to depend on it or promoting teamplay, they’re forcing us bby making it so the team HAS to drop what their doing and run to the carrier and baby sit them, when before the carrier could get one escort and sneak to cap the flag while the rest of the team defends. Now you have to leave base and attend to the flag carrier because he’s even MORE defenseless. And I swear to God, don’t say “He has a pistol!” because a pistol will NOT save him.

Yeah, it’s flag with a new twist. I still don’t understand.

I don’t see why you cant just hold X for 3 seconds to drop the flag. That way it stops people from using a cheap method like flag-juggling, and makes holding the flag more useful

No…it will just suck. It may feel more fluid, but it could potentially screw several people over, over and over. And, the fact that it’s auto-pickup, AND you can’t drop it…one or the other, I will not have both.

There shouldn’t be a specialization for a specific game type IMO. Nice post count btw OP.

Yeah, it’s flag with a new twist. I still don’t understand.

It’s not a new twist. It’s a step back. It’s an insult. “We think Halo players are TO-limited, so we’ll have to force them to work together because it’s obvious they’re too dumb to have ever worked together before.” The flag is the objective. I am NOT the objective. I am a carrier. There is a difference. And if you can’t understand both sides of the argument, don’t argue, it makes you seem ignorant and it’s like you’re basically saying “Halo 4 looks really pretty, let 343i do whatever they want!”

Damn it, Ken.

It’s not a new twist. It’s a step back. It’s an insult. “We think Halo players are too dumb to play TO right, so we’ll have to force them to work together because it’s obvious they’re too dumb to have ever worked together before.” The flag is the objective. I am NOT the objective. I am a carrier. There is a difference. And if you can’t understand both sides of the argument, don’t argue, it makes you seem ignorant and it’s like you’re basically saying “Halo 4 looks really pretty, let 343i do whatever they want!”

Are you being sarcastic, trolling or something ken? What trouble do you bring this time?

I have not played the new CTF so my comments on it would lack but, I like the idea of the flagnum with the flag. I guess now the flag carrier will have to be committed.
