A Spartan Ops Film

So if you watch all the Spartan Ops episodes together, the CG is very good, and I think it’d be cool if they made a full-length Halo film using the same CG. I was surprised at how well Spartan Ops episodes turn out. Most video game series are pretty bad, usually with terrible live action acting, but with CG and Halo’s cast, I think something good could come out of it. The CG is pretty real, in my opinion, especially the combat scenes, which are usually CG in most other movies anyways.

Agreed, the CG is excellent.

I’d love to see a straight-to Blu Ray or DVD movie utilizing similar style cinematics.

I am just wondering how the Halo TV series is gonna turn out. Pretty sure that one’s gonna be live-action.

It would cost a lot but if they made the upcoming tv series like this i would love it

This.

But I’d be more happy with just more Spartan Ops.

Would be very interesting to watch more scenes using that kind of CGI. It was acted in a way, but I guess it was hard to produce! The models are insanely detailed. Has anybody seen how detailed the CSS Cruiser is? O.O

Also… Wish Nylund was still around to write great stories :frowning: I am surprised he wasn’t hired to write on a Halo game…

Why Nylund? Why did you leave? D:

They could always hire those guys who made the latest tintin animation film man that so realistic.

It’s fun to watch but each episode is so short. Is it cheaper to make a CG film or a live action one?

You should see Axis Animation’s other featured products. They did one of the trailers for Dead Island. I would love to see them do more for the Halo series.

It really depends on who’s making the CG animations and how much they cost for their work. Same goes for the live action, it all depends on the director and what actors they can get on budget. WALL-E(CG Film for example) had a budget of $180 Million. Elysium(Live action, probably what we would expect from a Halo film. Especially when the same director helped with Halo: Landfall) had a budget of $115 million.

I’d honestly hope that the TV Series doesn’t center around the tale of the UNSC Infinity, I would much rather it be about an entirely new story.
