A somewhat useful tip to avoid leaks/spoilers

This is probably known to a lot of people, and it is not the most useful in the entire world, but it has helped me quite a few times to avoid leaks and spoilers secretly hidden in a topic.

Its incredibly simple, hover your mouse over a topic name and it will show you the first sentence or two of the topic.

Like I said, it helped me avoid spoilers a few times, as well as it helps me determine whether the OP is full of rubish or not.

Sorry if this does not help you, but if it does, I am glad I could help!

Sincerely,
A guy who wants to be surprised when the game comes out,
Critical.

Am I one of the few people here that can be spoiled the game but it doesn’t ruin the experience for me?

Well you can always use the Hide Halo 4 Forum Script in the link…

i was half expecting this to be a spoiler when i clicked on it haha. thanks for the tip!

here’s another tip.

Dont talk about them. At all.

Plain and simple.

Just kill your internet and play Skyrim till launch. FUS DOH RAAAAA!!!

While this is good advice, there are those will not adhere to it, and will post spoilers simply to ruin others experience.

1 I wanted to be spoiled
2 if people do not want to be spoiled THEY NEED TO GO DARK

> Am I one of the few people here that can be spoiled the game but it doesn’t ruin the experience for me?

Im not sure, but I am always the one who likes to play through the game and be genuinly surprised when something happens then know whats coming up. I mean, would you like watch/read a Sherlock Holmes movie/book knowing who the Bad guy is, how he did it,and how Sherlock beats him?

That’s what I’ve been doing, just in case a troll is sneaky.

No but it really doesn’t ruin it for me.

So I am not the only one! Just got Dawnguard and a ton of mods to go with it. That should keep me occupied for at least a month!

I approve of this.

Also it’s Fus Ro Dah, you need more practice Dovahkiin.

So you are saying people should avoid an entire forum discussing a game they are excited for because some jerks decide to post spoilers? I don’t know about you, but I enjoy talking about the game and things to come, but I don’t want to have the campaign spoiled. Saying “go dark” is not a solution everyone is willing to take.

the same way a person who wants to minimize his risks of getting cancer just DOES NOT SMOKE as opposed to smoking just a little…

I also say that an authorized, stickied spoilers thread would also save a lot of people

Not when your Dragon Born is named Homer Simpsor.

This is different than smoking.

If I have a question about the game I want ansered, or I want to discuss something legitimatly, I should not have to hide from an entire forums section because of some (cencored words) are to inconsiderate to keep spoilers out of the forums. You logic doesn’t make sense. Forums are made to discuss. Just because someone breaks the rules, doesn’t mean I should avoid it entirely. You may see it differently because you like to be spoiled, but many of us would appreciate discussing an upcoming title without the threat of ruining an experience. Alas, this is not a perfect world.

yet you KNOW there is a risk…and you come on anyway. If you want to be truly safe you should go dark. simple as that because you are right…this is not a perfect world and never will be

I don’t see you problem mate. We Halo fans want to discuss Halo and not be spoiled. I gave people a tip that might help them not be spoiled. You are saying “Just go dark” which is ignorant because the fact we should not even be worriying about this and we are is a problem in itself. Do you have a problem with people being on a forums page and not wantning to be spoiled? I don’t see your logic behind your argument.

I am a halo fan just like you, and just like you I want to discuss the game (with the one difference I want to be spoiled do by own reasons). It is not rudeness it is pragmatism. We both know there is a risk and we both know it is not going to change…I am merely suggesting the safest, most definitive solution
