Look, we can all agree that Halo has a lot of problems with it on the developer end. But one of the things Ive been stressing on this forum lately is the fact that this game would be sooo much better were it not for all the morons running around in it. What Ive dubbed the “Superman Complex” is something that I’m sure has cost all of us wins that should have been easy to get. In other games like COD, where people die so fast, you can take advantage of the noob trash who rush in against 8 enemies who are chilling in a room, and use him as a distraction to pick a few off. Unfortunately, in Halo, thats not the case, and leads to these morons going 8 and 30 (no joke).
Now, my suggestion im sure will get a lot of heat from some people, but just let it sift around your head first before you form an opinion one way or the other. My suggestion is a limit on lives per game. In 4 v4, its 60 to win, and 8 vs 8 its 100. That means that if everything was equal, the losing team would have each of its players die 15 or 12.5 times each, respectively. Obviously, skill levels will vary, and it isn’t fair for Noob Trash to have to sit out after dying 15 times, but it isn’t fair for the rest of the team when he dies 25 times. So I think the limit ought to be 20 deaths, and then you have to sit out. This would force people to use their brains, and stop with the superman complex. I understand its not perfect, and will upset some people, but honestly, I don’t care about upsetting Noob Trash too much, they upset me by going negative 18 in a game that easily should have been won. I doubt that many of us here on the forum rack up an entire 20 deaths in one game either, so its not like it would effect all of us terribly.
Take a minute, think it through, then formulate your opinion and let me know.
Though I see where your coming from (especially having played the challenge playlist where it seemed like every game had a team mate have high 20s deaths, like every game you think maybe once twice naw every game it felt like) and of course they would have like 4 kills as well. however there are times were i’ve seen peeps go like 29 and 22 theoretically that person would have to sit out at that point…leaving the team to play a 3 v 4 surely bringing at least one of them near the 20 death mark till it’s a 2v4 scenario. it doesn’t seem feasible.
Maybe if it’s like they sit out for a time. Like you die x amount of times in a row or have an amount of deaths you have a longer wait time and can’t do instant spawns or something. not the best soltion but it’s an idea to play off yours.
I should add though…I really dislike your title here, and at first I almost couldn’t take your post serious calling them noob trash. Randoms pugs noobs fine but noob trash is unnecessary. Just cuz they are noobs doens’t mean you should call them trash or garb(even if they are) it’s just not needed, specially when trying to start an actually discussion for possible fixes.

Yeah but no. Theres a difference between Noob and Noob Trash. A noob is someone who is new to the game, sucks, but at least is willing to take suggestions and try to listen/help. Noob Trash= I’m superman, I’m going to kill the entire team with no help, so stand back.
Let people play how they want. I wont punish someone because they choose to play with an Suppressor or a Carbine and get wrecked by an Assault Rifle or a DMR.
I don’t care if your teammate is complete trash, that is something you have to deal with in every game.
This is a step in the wrong direction, so no support whatsoever.
Also, like I said, its not perfect, and in the situation where someone goes 29 and 22, my question is where the F is his team. Its really pretty rare that you see numbers like that. And for me, I’d rather be down a player and feel personally responsible for losing, then do good and watch someone give the game away.

No, its not something you have to deal with in every game. Its something that can be spun to your advantage in every other game, where things are more realistic, and I can kill 2 people who are distracted by my idiot teammate. In Halo, idiot runs in, gets killed, and I manage to maybe drop one enemy’s shield before they run back into cover. It isn’t fair or right to deal with people who refuse to play properly.
Right but those are noob errors, not noob trash. My suggestion of limited lives per game would force them to use their brains a bit more. Honestly, I think its the only way to make people aware that you win by not dying, not by getting tons of kills.
OP if you have a problem with new player A. Only play in a full party or B. Only play LAN . no more problem other then that just take your copy of halo4 back to ware you got it from.

> The term “noob” informs that they don’t know how to play properly
And knowing that if they die 20 times, they have to sit there and watch is what will force them to learn quickly. If there is no in your face consequence for playing like an idiot, theyll continue to play like an idiot.
The more and more I think about it, and play the game as I watch this thread, the more and more I know this would be an improvement, both immediately, and in the long run. If it drives away a few people, good. If they implemented it today, then a year from now, most of the remaning population would be skilled enough that almost all games would be competitive. Anything that forces people to use their brains and more importantly, their Mics, is good for me.

I’d much rather my crappy team mates camp then Superman. Wouldn’t you? And i do that sometimes, problem is, usually they are just so stupid that I can’t force myself to follow them into sure death.
No. No, just no. You know why in COD you can pick off two or 3 people with an idiot teammate like that? Because it’s COD, because kills are so freaking easy to get. This is Halo, not COD. It was the same way in Halo Reach, Halo 3, and I assume the others were the same way. If you don’t like it, go play COD or play with actual other people.
Here’s an even better idea that I try sometimes. Go in with the superman guy and get kills. You’re complaining about his teamwork, but at least he is trying something. Maybe if you team up with him you guys can get kills and capture that important spot. Instead, if you sit back and keep watching him do the same thing while you hope they peek their head out the window, you aren’t helping your team and you’re not trying.
Back in the days before Halo Reach’s Arena changed my gameplay, I would do the same thing and I’d always go 22 and 18 or something like that. The superman players will learn. Until then, adjust your gameplay because they’re not good enough to play the way you want them to. (Oh, and what happens when you face a team with players better than you and YOU’RE the one who is the 8 and 30 noob on your team?)
