What if we have to veto system from halo 3?
This helped a lot when players wanted to either play BR or AR starts in H3.
especially when Snowbound showed up!
if this were to be in H5 this would help. BUT ONLY IN ARENA PLAY.
list you’re opinions about this, and think of other ideas to solve this problem to make the Halo community not brawl again.
EDIT: we don’t know how BR starts are going to work in H5 since the beta. REMEMBER they got rid of the flinch that was in the Beta, thats what made BR starts suck in the beta.
It seems apparent that H5G was built around the AR/Pistol balance and BR starts can get as campy as team snipers. Eventually all the BR rabble-rousers will push enough that BR starts will replace the AR/P starts and then most of the population will jump ship for greener pastures like Warzone, BTB or anything other than Pro/Esports/MLG/semiPro/tryhard YOINK-O-RAMA.

I have heard somewhere that there isn’t voting or vetoing at all. Don’t take my word for it, though. And also I don’t really see the BR/AR starts debacle as much of a problem to begin with.

Yes, because the people that play 2v2s on Onyx-Pro level should start with the exact same weapons than timmy and his friend that hunt down Grunts in Warzone.

So is Warzone just the new thing that tryhards use to bash players who don’t agree with them?
Pistol/AR is a great loadout for Halo 5, the magnum is a shallow-clipped utility weapon that can challenge any gun in the sandbox at short/medium range and can even be effective at long range, exactly what the BR provides in older halo’s, it’s the same role just with a shallow clip and adjusted TTK. The AR is there as a close quarters alternative which can strip shields incredibly fast, useful against the OS and as a teamshooting weapon at close/medium range (if you’re not getting shot at).
BR starts in H5 could work if the TTK was longer. But with H5’s shorter TTK, BR starts in H5 just make games into long ranged poke fests from the get-go, that was my experience from the Beta. With PIstol/AR starts you’re free to move around the map more and there’s more room for establishing control. With the pistol you also feel like you can get stuck into the action straight away, trust me it’s not the same feeling of “oh -Yoink- I need to find a BR” of the AR starts in H3 or H2 for example. This is coming from someone who want’s nothing but BR starts in the MCC.
In H5 the bottom line is, Magnum/AR just works better.

People that play Arena disagree with you and you assume they are just casual Warzone players that hunt down grunts. When was 2v2 ever even in question? We are talking about 4v4.
Unless we are playing the absolute highest level of strict competition, AR starts is the way to go.

I call it double standartds. You complain about me generalize someone and then do it in the exact same sentence. Bravo.
This has nothing to do with Arena, Warzone 2v2, 4v4 or whatsoever. He said "just keep AR and Magnum starts. ALWAYS" No matter if BTB, Multi Team, Warzone, 4v4 or 2v2, just throw in AR and Pistols. I then made the comparsion that two high skilled players in a 2v2 not necessary should start with the same settings than two casuals that hope into Warzone to have some fun. I didnt bash anyone, If you cant take a sarcastic comment then please leave the internet.
It was just to compare. And the thread is not about 4v4, its about arena. BTB and Doubles are arena as well.
Solution: One playlist of standard arena, and one playlist of ARs. That way the people who think BRs are better can play BRs, and the people that think ARs are better and think that BR people are stubborn campers wanting a one gun game can play standard.
By the way no bias here. At all. Even though AR starts are better.
(The stubborn campers thing is a setup to emphasize the no bias joke, I love BRs, but i know I have to put this here so the internet doesnt murder me slowly and painfully)
But seriously. Nothing saying we cant have both as seperate playlists.
