lets face it, Halo 3’s ranking system and Halo: Reach’s ranking system were both unfair. In Halo 3, you can derank yourself and be placed against easy opponants. In Reach, you could have a full team of inheritors who absolutely suck at the game. my solution, dont place players on teams based off of rank, do it off of k/d.
i.e. say there is a game of Team slayer, 4v4. 2 players have a k/d of 2.0
2 more have a k/d of 1.5
2 more have a k/d of 1.0
and 2 more have a k/d of 0
split the teams like this:
Red team: person with 2.0, person with 1.5, person with 1.0, person with 0
Blue team: person with 2.0, person with 1.5, person with 1.0, person with 0.
i know most games wont be that evenly split, but it could be split as close to even as possible.
yes i know there is a flaw were players could purposfully ruin their k/d, but most people think of their k/d as precius, and would hate to ruin it. I think this system could work
