There’s been alot of back and forth within the community lately because of the incomplete release debacle. Here’s a solution that should make everyone happy.
Flighting. Or, I guess more accurately, early-access. Release a build of the game that has a battlepass and multiple online modes so that people can enjoy the game and play early, while 343 fixes and finishes the other touches of the game. That way people can play the game but not have to worry about the launch missing stuff.
I would personally prefer they just launch the game and give us the missing content whenever it’s ready, but it seems to be way too hard for people to be patient when it comes to Forge. I get that co-op and Forge are important experiences for us as longtime Halo fans, but this game isn’t being marketed towards longtime Halo fans is it? New players will not care about these missing features nor will it kill the game in the long term. Even MCC had a horrible launch but now is the most popular Halo game at current. I would hardly consider two missing modes to be a horrible release, especially given the fact that 343 has been totally transparent with us about it and we can expect those features in not too long after launch. Like, damn, just play the game and have fun. Wait for Forge man. We’ve already waited like 6 years for a new Halo game, y’all can’t wait three months for Forge?
Anyway, I think an early access system or continued flighting would at least keep us happy for a bit if y’all really are set on delaying an entire game for one and a half modes.
Lol they want another delay but can’t wait 3 months (delay) for the modes they want. Think about that. Also I agree this community just needs to enjoy Halo again. It’s a video game. Stop finding every little thing to be mad about. Campaign and multiplayer will be there on launch after 6 years. Great! Let’s go!

yeah like the xsx is designed to push games to their limit and most current games are pushed to the limit of the xbone infinte while made to work on xbone (which looks amazing on it) is more or less made for the xsx

AT the moment we only have MS flight sim after more then 10 months. Thats a bit thin for releases dont you think so. MS needs a flagship at the holiday. And Forza horizon alone aint gonne cut it. I would love to have coop but i don’t mind to wait for another 3 months. At least we can playdescent MP the preview was certainly descent.

It seems to me the community is split into Halo 5 fans and fans of all the other Halos. Halo 5 fans are fine with the issues occurring, because they don’t really know any better. Halo legacy fans are annoyed because they had multiple games release with all the features lacking in recent titles and see the problem with releasing incomplete games.
Here’s the problem with this…people typically keep acting like flight means the same as demo and that’s not what these flights are meant to be about.
I’ve said this before in other threads that these flights should have been tested at least a year in advance before an official release to help players and gamers understand if the game feels right since it’s highly unlikely that they can make worthwhile changes in barely 2-3 months before launch. It’s not ok to have disc’s with half the game because some people are too impatient to wait 3-6 months for the game to be complete.
Heck I remember what happened with Halo 5 at launch and how little content it had, how awful the multiplayer was and that basically killed my interest for Halo for a while and I’m concerned 343i are going to do the same with Infinite regardless of if the multiplayer is good or not. Regardless of if was fan of H5 or not…it still barely had any content to keep playing for the long term at launch and I’m concerned the same problems are going to occur with Infinite just because some people are impatient.

I think part of the problem is because so many people are still trying to get their hands on an XSX because most downright refuse to pay double, sometimes triple or quadruple the price because of Scalpers. Though from what I’ve been hearing, some have been able to find them for their normal price. So without a lot of XSX’s being owned, MS is sort of forced to have games be built for both the One and its iterations as well as the XSX/XSS and PC. So I wouldn’t be surprised if some game companies are just waiting it out until next year when supposedly (this is just rumor so I won’t say it’s guaranteed, could be a huge -Yoink!- lie tbh) MS is not going to encourage backwards compatible so more games will be XSX/XSS/PC exclusive moving forward. (Honestly if that’s true, it’ll be a huge bummer. But hopefully by then they’ll have gotten the Scalper issue under control.)
I will happily eat my words, but I would be amazed if Forge and co-op comes ONLY 3 months after launch. 343 (and most companies in general anymore) habitually over promise and under deliver, why should we believe them now?

And then you have people like me who are legacy Halo fans, who are more understanding with 343’s issues and would rather just have fun playing the game than complaining about every small feature that we dislike.
In reality, the fans are split into whatever halo game they associate most with. Halo CE fans, people who started at the very beginning are pretty much neutral with some of the issues occuring. Halo 3 fans are the most negative, they dislike any amount of change within the franchise and are the single most critical of 343. Halo Reach fans are too excited about the game to care about missing Forge and coop for a couple months. The Halo 4 and 5 kids are just ready for the game to release.
I would much rather get an incomplete game with tons of updates adding old and new stuff and get to play a fun game, rather than wait another year because of two modes, or have the game release broken. Incomplete is better than broken anyday.

As far as I’m concerned that’s still up for debate at some point since I and many others have not played the Infinite multiplayer yet plus generally like to make my own opinions. I still remember when I stated Halo 5 was the worst Halo ever after playing the beta and none of my friends liked the game either while some people on the forums kept trying to tell me I was wrong, yet many months later a lot of people agreed with me about the game despite people defending the beta. If Infinite is going to launch then it needs to have a healthy amount of content and not repeat the same mistakes of Halo 5.

fair enough but from my expince its more like a blend of 3 reach and a small bit of 5 and it just plays well
