At the end of Halo 3, the last terminal shows the following text:
And so here at the end of my life,
I do once again betray a former
master. The path ahead is fraught
with peril. But I will do all I can
to keep it stable - keep you safe.
I’m not so foolish to think this
will absolve me of my sins. One life
hardly balances billions.
But I would have my masters know
that I have changed.
And you shall be my example.
My theory was that at the last moment when foward unto dawn was going through the portal, Medicant Bias could of changed the portal destination so that the Arbiter arrived at earth, and Chief arrived at the forerunner planet we see in the Halo 4 Teaser, and he most probably did this deliberately, as he stated he was going to make the Chief his example to the forerunners, he probably sent him to that planet on purpose.
It would make sense because the arbiter is no use to the forerunners, neither is he a “reclaimer”, so Medicant Bias wouldn’t really want to send him with the Chief either.
Any thoughts on this?
