so ive never really given this much thought till i was watching a video earlier. I know the BR a perfect kill is 4 shots without missing, DMR is 5 and so is Magnum
My question is do the shots all have to be head shots? or can BR for example be 3 body and 1 head or the magnum be 4 body 1 head.
My accuracy avgs around 41% with precision weapons but its cause im always aiming for the head shot every time, and if i dont have to do that i could prob bump it up to high 40s which i know would improve game play a lot for me.
i guess part 2 to this would also be, how many other ppl miss a fire fight by one shot, like i know i get the other person to a one shot kill but choke on the last one and just starting shooting everywhere and then die cause i couldnt finish what i started
BR is 3 shots, at least that’s what it takes me, I’ve done this on point blank players who were AFK. You have to also remember its burst fire so even if you “hit them” some of the shots may also have missed. Somewhat unrelated note you can actually get 3 head shots with 3 bullets/one shot with the BR if everyone has no shield. My advice is where ever you are aiming aim a little lower. First shot hits the chest/neck and the rest hit the head. Again if you are aiming directly at the head with a normal BR the last bullet may not hit the head.
Only the final shot of the weapon has to be a headshot. For the BR, because of how tight the spread is, the full 4th burst must connect with the head. Shield damage is equal between the body and head.

What BR do you have that it takes you 3? A perfect BR kill is 4, and it doesnt matter where the first 3 land, just the 4th needs to be a head shot. Your second comment doesnt make any sense. H5 is hit scan for most weapons like BR, DMR, Ar, SMG, Sniper, and others. They do not have projectiles, thats why you dont have to lead shots anymore…if your reticle is on the target all bullets land. Please stop spreading wrong information and presenting it as fact.

maybe it is special to Warzone vs Arena, but there is no question I have walked up to people and 3 shot people with the BR (technically its 9 total hits I believe), I guess a recent patch could have changed this but I am 100% sure I did this since the last big DLC.
For the second comment about multiple people with the burst fire just watch this video and they really do it 1:23 lack of “projectiles” aside its 3 distinct things that “hit” the target after coming from the gun.
I dunno. Sometimes I feel like people get me on their 3rd BR shot. I’ve never done it. It seems like it mostly happens when I’m running away, there is a short flash on my screen, two quick vibrations in the controller, and then I drop. I assume there’s no third vibration because the 3rd burst is what kills me.
I have a Sentinel BR (extended barrel AND recoil reduction versions) and I can’t get 4 hit kills with them about 60% of the time, sometimes it takes 6.
firstly thank you for the advice/answers that only the last shot needs to be a head shot, idk if this gets off topic at all but isnt it kinda lame/none sense then that the DMR and Magnum both are 5 shot perfect kills. you would think 4 DMR body shots would be more damage then 4 Magnum body shots
secondly the last time i remember ever hearing the BR being 3 shots was Halo 2? ive never seen or heard of it taking only three shots, that might be a warzone variant but i know a perfect kill is 4 shots without missing,

yea it is a 5 shot perfect kill, but i always feels like it CAN kill faster then the BR or just as fast. if there is any difference in TTK its very very small
Ya know, I do this too and i know my br accuracy could be a lot better if i go body shots then head shot. I wasnt sure if you got more damage shooting the head when it comes to shield but nowwwwww, i got some labbin to do lol.

It seems to me that to get a 3SK with the Lightrifle you have to be in Smart-Scope or whatever they call it for the 3rd shot…Can anyone verify or am I just crazy?
