Correct me if I’m wrong, which I very well could be…I don’t think I am I’m 90% sure of this after going back to TMCC and Reach for a bit
I believe this is the first Halo since Halo CE to have the Aiming reticle in the center of the screen…
Halo 2-4 reticles were slightly below the center
Maybe this is part of the reason why aiming feels weird to some people?
This simple change makes it really hard to switch between Halo 5 and Older Halo games…
Never noticed this, I’ve always just aimed like I would in any game.
Yes, Halo 5 is the first to go back to a centered reticle, which is something I was hoping they weren’t going to do when the game was announced, but the new aiming system would have looked a bit odd (like Destiny, which still keeps the lowered reticle)
However, the aiming feels weird because of actual code changes, not perspective.
it’s a combination of both. Obviously that has an effect butt it’s not the sole reason.

I never even noticed this but what does it do exactly?

Essentially the reticle isn’t centred on the screen, so there is more space above the reticle than below. This is different than most shooters. Doesn’t really affect much but can throw off someone just starting.

Oh, personally I have never really noticed it until you guys said something about but I will take a look at it whenever I get home since I am curious but in all my years playing Halo from 2001 to now I have never really noticed it.
