A simple way to improve the H5 Warzone req system

As I grind for the Firefight mastery commendation, I was thinking about how it would be nearly impossible without any rare, ultra rare, and legendary vehicles or weapons. And who doesn’t have any high end reqs? New players, if one is one your team; your already at a disadvantage. However high level players who don’t purchase req packs with real money also have the issue of not getting the high end gear they earned the certification for. I have never bought a req pack and I never will, so I had to earn all my certifications. And I have a Phaeton certification, but I might as well not have it because I can never get on out of a gold pack, I usually get a reskinned rocket hog or some crap that doesn’t deserve to be legendary. So I though of a fix that will help this. give players “req passes”. “Req passes” are one free req of its respected tier. Players in a Warzone/Assualt/Firefight match will have 1 req pass for each tier of rarity (one common, one uncommon, one rare…). Not only will this make Warzone matches more diverse, but will also probably make Players have more fun. I could spawn in a Phaeton and an enemy could spawn in a Hannibal mantis or whatever. Since you only get one per rarity, this won’t completely throw the matches stability out of the window. Players who only have like one tank certification is now more welcome to spawn one in and help their team.
The “Req pass” is limited to what you have certifications for however. so level 2 players cant get nornfangs but they are encouraged to try get packs to unlock its certification.
That’s just my opinion though; if you think its a good idea, or a terrible one. then speak out and discus what you think can improve Halo 5 and its mechanics.

Does anyone get the impression that 343 isn’t listening right now?

Sadly, I don’t think they listen to Halowaypoint comments either.

Very interesting idea. Not sure I agree with it though. If you have 12 players on a team with the hannibal mantis cert for example, and you told those players that once every game they could bring in a free hannibal mantis without losing one from their collection, well, that’s going to be a whole lot of hannibal mantises being called in every game. Sure, they’d only get one for free like you said, but that would still be pretty game breaking to me to have a team pull a ton of them at once. I like the sound of this idea for new players that do not have all this stuff unlocked, but I feel that for higher level games where everybody is level 130 plus and has most if not all of the certs unlocked, this would lead to just too many ultra rare or legendary vehicles and weapons being spammed at once. Banshee ultras, hannibal tanks and mantises, oni tanks, nornfangs and other mythics. I would be all for this idea however if it was exclusive to firefight. Unfortunately, 343 wants you to burn through your stuff in that mode so hopefully people will be tempted to buy more packs to replenish their REQs. Giving freebies to people is not in their agenda I’m afraid.

I also have to ask how these “REQ passes” would work in relation to REQ level. What REQ level do I have to have to use my legendary pass? If I want to use it to bring in an ONI Scorpion, do I have to have the REQ level it would normally take to spawn an ONI Scorpion (seven)?

There’s been a lot of cool ideas, yours included, but the fact is that 343 is only here to creep around, remove flaming/hating posts, and comment random Halo 5 GIFs, rather than giving responses to interesting feedback.

I didn’t think too hard about all the possible different loopholes, I though about it and decided to share my idea. But, I do agree with the entire team spawning mantises at once statement. I have to think about how to balance it out in regular Warzone, however I think it would be great for Firefight. Thank you for your constructive criticism about the “req pass” flaws. It’s good to share ideas.

Firefight is the one mode where I think random ordinance drops like H4 had would be suitable to have in the game. It would help with players that don’t have REQ items, it would help players in the later rounds if they don’t have a high enough REQ level to call in anything good due to dying, and it would help your team in general even though it wouldn’t guarantee a win.

Just to clarify:
thy ReaperMC isn’t an employee of 343 Industries. He’s just a volunteer. All of the monitors are.

oh
well
uh
nvm then

I though about a little balance for regular Warzone, but what if the pass had a cool down on what you recently used. So legendaries and ultra rares have a ten game cooldown, rare and uncommon have 5 games, and common have 3. Just a thought.

Or you could just grind it out and unlock everything.

I think this is a good idea, but maybe there is a power up hidden in the field or the reqs are throughout the team?
The power up idea is similar to Star Wars Battlefront.
With the reqs thoughout the team, I mean that for the whole team, the reqs are randomly distributed.

The problem is not getting what you want out of the packs. Yes, you can grind but all high tier reqs can only be obtained through gold packs. The issue is that there I don’t, and many others, usually get what we want. It takes, without any boost, about four to five warzone games to get a gold pack. But You only get ten cards in a gold pack, so the odds of getting what suits your playstyle is very low (unless its a rare obviously). My whole idea was to create a way that people can use what they want more often. If you have any ideas, then please post them.

i think the mode you are looking for is warzone firefight fiesta.

My idea is to not expect the best things in the game to just be handed to you. The system works fine as is, if you want the high tier stuff then keep grinding until you get it like I and so many others already have.

No they set up specific threads, and then they only listen then, because to be honest I think we are a joke and are just bored people that want to vent and come up with impossible dreams, and then have them crushed.

I agree, this method would of worked fine for this gamemode considering that it’s only PVE.

They need to do something because I played FF last night and half of my team was below level 20. We lost on the last round fighting the 4 Hunters. Normally, that’s not even a hard round, but only one person called in a vehicle and I noticed that hardly anyone called in any vehicles throughout the game. I’m guessing it was due to lack of REQ’s.
