Anyone who has read some of these posts can clearly see that halo players are all over the map in terms of what game they prefer. I have heard arguments for halo 1,2,3, and 4 over and over again. The my all argue different points but the one overriding narrative is that people feel very strongly about which halo version they want to play. On the other hand there are very few people asking for modes mixed across all four games in one playlist. I want to start a rally cry to all of you… No matter what game you think is best… We need together 343 to divide the playlist by game! A separate playlist for each halo version ends the endless bickering and complaining about which is best and how often it comes up. The idea that halo fans would want to play all four games in one playlist is reasonable in theory but falls apart in practice. Everyone has favorites and should be able to play that favorite exclusively if they want to. How many of you out there want to play only one of the four games but are endlessly outvoted. Even 343 has favorites. The mixed games mode is a mistake if it is the sole way to play. If 343 was to separate the four games into their own playlist which each one have one slayer version and one objective version… As well as an extra playlist of all he games mixed together… I am certain hey would quickly find there existing playlists empty and instead find people playing version they want to play in the first place. This will also reduce in game quiting since no one wants to play 20 minutes of a game they dislike, just in the hopes that next time their favorite will be voted in. 343 please let us choose our favorite game and game mode ourselves… Almost none of the halo canvass likes all of the games equally. In fact most people will argue to death that one version is good and all others are inferior.
Please do not use this forum to argue the merits of one game over another… Use this to let 343 know that we all like our own favorite… And we should be able to choose to play that favorite the whole time we play…
Makes sense, I dont go into a matchmaking with the mindset that “I’ll play whatever halo they throw at me.” You know exactly what version of Halo you wanna play since they are pretty different. The maps and game types can vary, but the version of Halo is just too big of a factor and to force someone who wants to play Halo 2 into playing a Halo 1,3, or 4 game or like my situation, I want Halo 1 but now Im stuck in a Halo 2,3,4 game is just not gonna be fun for almost anyone.
