When you thrust, you have a very small window of time where you can’t shoot, grenade, anything. All I’m asking is why? In a one-on-one duel, thrusting is a common thing players do to throw off their opponent for a moment. But why can’t I keep shooting mid-thrust? I know it’s a minuscule window of time, but with Halo 5’s kill times, it can make a difference. Does it have to do with the lore? I think a spartan is still capable of keeping his/her aim intact during a thrust. This is just one small gameplay mechanic that I think could be changed for the better. I’m not sure how possible this would be to implement post-launch, but nonetheless I think it should be considered for the next Halo.
Because if you thrust head on into someone it generally takes down their shields and one bullet finishes them off. Being able to do that in one move is completely unfair. The way it is now is closer to fair because there’s a delay before you can make that final shot.

I believe OP is talking about the b button dash and not the full on shoulder bash.

I thought that you could shoot whilst thrusting, but then again maybe I’m not hitting buttons quick enough. Would be quite useful if you could shoot whilst doing it I suppose

Actually it wouldn’t because then for sure the best strat to use is to thruster instead of it being a choice of thrusting or not
If anything, doesn’t the brief shooting delay keep it a bit more competitive? It makes it less of a get out of jail free card. There are good thrusts, and there are bad thrusts. A good thrust will win a fight, while a bad thrust is punishing, as it should be.

But thrusting is more advantageous anyway right?
I could see it happening easily with automatic weapons. With precision weapons…that seems a bit trickier to do.
