A Serious Desync

So I was playing a few rounds of Warzone Firefight (loving it) and had a pretty awesome round but as the game ends I start to notice some lag, then some freezing, then the game kicks me to the title screen. “No big deal” I think but then I decide to check my carnage report to see what I got, that is when things started to get weird: The carnage report was from 2 games ago, it was as if my most recent game had never happened. Then I went to the REQ menu where it said I had 23 REQ points (the amount I had prior to the most recent round) but it said it was “loading”. After 5 minutes I got bored of waiting and went into Forge for a while, that is when things got stranger. Every 5-15 minutes it would pop up an error message saying “Sync Error: Check your internet connection” so after I finished what I was working on I did a bunch of connection tests and even tried playing other online-based games (Destiny and The Division) both of which both worked perfectly. So I booted up Halo 5 again to see a broken title screen where the background image of the UNSC Infinity (Is that what that ship is? or do I not pay enough attention to lore?) was shrunk down to a tiny image while the “Press Menu to Start” message was there perfectly fine. I went to the REQ menu again and saw 0 REQ points for a while then it went to 23 like normal, the odd thing was my Spartain Rank which had dropped to 0, then jumped to a few levels below what it should be, then jumped to the proper level but the XP bar was completely full. My emblem was set to the Mjolnir Emblem (the default one) and my armor was back to Recruit with defaulted colors as well. I changed my armor back to what I like it and changed up my emblem and colors. But the game was still trying to “Load” my REQ data. I did notice that the Arena REQ pack was able to be purchased (I bought it on a different Xbox One but hadn’t downloaded on this one) So I closed the game and downloaded it. When I got back in it was back to Recruit, Default Colors, and the Default Emblem. I am going to leave it alone for a while to see if it will fix itself but if not, there may need to be intervention on the other side but in any case, this is a problem that could really use some preventative measures.

Update: Even on this site it doesn’t list that missing game. At this point I don’t care about what I would have gotten but need to know if the issue is still going to happen.

Had pretty much the same issue last night
was working on a huge forge map, hope it actually saved

I lost a lot of progress on a map the other day from a similar issue but fortunately the session I had last night (when the problem occurred) seems to have saved just fine.

Just routine server issues. You’ll get that. It’s just failing to load your personal data for your gamertag from the server. It gets resolved usually within a few hours. Could also be your internet connection taking a dump too.

It has been 16 hours. I got back on and it is still reporting Desync

I was able to confirm last night that it registered that missing match and granted the associated rewards. Let this be a reminder that sometimes it can take a while to resolve but almost always will.
