This is the particular part I’m talking about:
> Halo 5: Guardians will be its centrepiece. It’s Microsoft’s biggest release of the year and gameplay footage should be expected. 343 Industries will be on hand to take us through and another multiplayer beta could occur as well, which if successful would help dispel fears after last year’s disastrous launch of the Master Chief Collection (MCC).
>
> Speaking of which, some information about when remastered versions of Halo: ODST and possibly Halo Reach will launch for MCC should be expected too. Remember: ODST will be free for MCC owners who played the game between its release on 11 November and 19 December.
How amazing would that be if they allowed us another Beta?! Thoughts?
I’d definitely be stoked, not only because it’s a blast to play but also because it gives them an outlet to stress the servers before launch. I thin we all agree that another MCC-esque launch would not be good for Microsoft.
It probably won’t happen. Organising, setting up and releasing a beta is no easy task, even if they’ve done the majority of the work for it during the first one. Plus Frankie shot the idea down in an IGN interview.
Would it be cool, though? Definitely. Need something to put me at ease when I stop mashing my head against the brick wall that is playing Delta Halo legitimately on Legendary.

They were going to have a beta after MONTHS of MCC out… they can break the mold.

Would LOVE one, just an interesting comment they added that made me wonder if there truly would be or not.

Precisely my thoughts.

They could just let you link through MCC again, just like they did. Just allow the original Beta code to update, and allow it to connect to servers. Would be AMAZING to play again, I’m so stoked to play already.
I’d really like to see some vehicle gameplay, and of course what has been changed since last we played.
Maybe …
Sprint has been nerfed.
Armor customization has improved.
Kill times are slower.
The “brofest” is over.

Exactly! They claimed they removed and tweaked a few things, I’d love to see what they did. PLUS, as people keep saying, vehicle tryouts. I’d like to see what they did to that, as well as large maps. I know you’re out there 343i, listen to us! Give us a second beta!
It would be a great idea. That way we could see if the changes they made actually work. Lets hope they put one out a few months before release, so they can tweak it even more and make it even better.

I think right about E3 time would make a world of difference for them. If they allowed people to play while it was at E3, they could do a lot of data mining that they would need to tweak it enough to make it a really good experience for us all by the time it comes out. Just imagine the advertising they could get from E3 if they announced it was another beta while it was being showcased?

You are not a Halo fan. You are one of those people who just complain. Stop it. Either be happy with what 343i has done right, and then SUGGEST to fix things, by offering a HELPFUL alternative, or shut up. I’m sick of people like you complaining because it’s not EXACTLY how you want it to be.

Thanks for clearing that up for me, i was really in the dark on this. I’ve sat up many a night wondering “am I really a Halo fan? I mean I really like the original games, ODST, Wars, even enjoyed Reach, read the expanded universe material up until the Forerunner trilogy, but am I still a fan because I disagree with the direction the series has been going?”
Just because I don’t bend over backwards to tell 343i how good a job they are doing doesn’t mean I don’t like the series. Maybe I’d be happy with what they did right, like… maybe… or perhaps… They can’t even release a 10 year old game in a working state, their only original game crashed and burned after release. They have proved that they are capable of nothing and I will not praise them for screw ups.

Not sure what this comment adds to the discussion, but nothing is stopping you from permanently playing CE and H2C in MCC for the rest of your natural life.

We want new games too you know.
If we do get such a beta, at least we can finally put things in perspective.
