So a couple of weeks ago, I broke out my old Xbox 360 to see if I could get my Halo 2 DLC transferred to my new Xbox 360 Slim. I first tried to see if it was still working, so I loaded up Halo 2. However, when I went to go choose a map for a local game, all of my DLC was missing. So I went back to the dashboard and checked my storage to see if the DLC was still there, just to make sure I didn’t delete them for some crazy reason. They were still there, so I tweeted Xbox Support. After about two hours of frustration and having to completely explain my situation 4 times, I finally got an answer, though, not one I was looking for. Apparently, Xbox 360s have been updated to such a point to where it does not recognize Original Xbox DLC anymore. This also explains why when I tried to install the DLC from the Multiplayer DLC disc that they couldn’t be installed. I don’t know why Xbox would do this, but I thought I’d share this with you, in that if you have an old Xbox that has working Halo 2 DLC on it, don’t connect it to Live and update, if you still want to play it. Just thought I’d share my experience with you guys on it. Was really looking forward to playing some Xlink or XBC with it.
I have all my Halo 2 DLC on my Xbox V1. I would’ve lost it if I got rid of that old box as my 360 with the DLC on it broke.
That sucks, thankfully I still have the maps on my old original Xbox as well.
I don’t know what you guys are talking about, I installed my Halo 2 DLC with my multiplayer map pack disc ,the only DLC I don’t know how to get on xbox 360 is the bonus map(because it doesn’t come with the disc). and btw I’m using an xbox 360 slim on the latest xbox software.

Same here. The DLC has worked fine for me and my friend. What 360 model were you using?

I am using an xbox 360 slim arcade (with a 500gb HDD), how about you?

I am using an xbox 360 slim - 250 GB HDD & my ancient halo 2 DLC maps are working just fine. That could be however because I transferred my xbox data directly into my 360 when it first came out, and then after multiplayer was taken down, and the new live updates took effect, I was still able to mess around with them in local games.

could be but i didn’t transfer my old xbox profile, I made a new one when the 360 came out.
that is nice to know.
if anyone here has Kai Link… maybe we could play some halo 2??? you know?? like the good old times! :’)
Well, I have my old Xbox 360 Pro that I originally downloaded the content on and was able to play it, but now for some reason, I can’t. Maybe I’m one of the unlucky ones where it won’t work for me anymore.
I have a similar problem. My Halo 2 copy had all the DLC on it and was compatible with the 360. When it was on my older (original) Xbox, all the maps were on it. When I finally tried it on my 360 because I didn’t have any room for my original Xbox. None of my DLC was there.
The reason it isn’t there is because you won’t have the most recent Title Update for Halo 2.
If you purchase the multiplayer pack on disk, it should have the 3rd title update at the most I believe.
