Imagine if in infinite or an as of yet unannounced halo title we would return to reach? It would be interesting to see if any colonists moved back or has everything man-made is deteriorating and nature is growing back. This game (or levels in game) would probably be more similar to halo 4 where we are forging through forests and rivers and making our way to some unknown forerunner destination. It would be awesome to see some old sights. (And maybe an Easter egg where we find noble 6’s helmet) thoughts or ideas? It would also be sweet if it had some planet hopping as well. And you are aware you are traveling in slipspace in a level. (Like halo 4 did sorta)
Looks like the newest book will be going back to Reach, so hopefully we will get some answers as to Reach’s status. That being said, since we have a book focusing on Reach, my theory that we might return to Reach in Infinite just lost stock value.
They got a book focusing on that coming out in September 2020, Shadows of Reach. Aside from whatever is on that planet that Blue team is retrieving, there’s no point in returning to Reach since it’s heavily (though not completely) glassed with a small population right now in the current time of events.
