A Response to: To those attacking free Content

So the thread was locked. If I get banned for this post, well I guess but I hope not. But I wanted to respond to the monitor and I frankly can’t do that in a locked thread can I?

The point of the thread was meant to chill people out. I’m not saying not to complain, I’m not saying having an opinion doesn’t matter, I’m not necessarily complaining about complaining. I’m not saying be silent. Whomever got the idea sorry. The Idea however, was to learn to be respectful. I know fans have grown accustomed to level of quality that they don’t feel is being matched and they have every right to voice that opinion. But telling me to eat ****, telling me I’m cancer and causing a problem by saying it wasn’t, etc. That, is really what I’m trying to tell everyone about. Like I said, everyone here has their rime, or reason for wanting a certain thing. But Screaming, yelling, name calling, or telling me my opinion is invalid, that’s wrong.

I’m fine with people being upset with the things, that’s not my problem, but it was the level that where upset, SCREAMING IN ALL CAPS for one, saying they’re lazy s***s, etc. I want that to stop. They overplayed small details and say how they ruin Halo. It’s all extremes…

So saying all that, why was the thread locked? I thought it was to tell people to chill and think about it for a second, but apparently trying to tell people to have a level head is wrong…? And then the thread about how this update was a joke and people screaming about lack or gamemodes (which is a problem, not saying it isn’t), remixes are lazy, 343 is incompitant, that can stay up? Go ahead and criticize all you want but I thought that was to much. If that’s the case I’ll just learn that screaming at 343 is ok and that telling people to calm down is wrong.

P.S. - Oh, and the entitled portion was because while it’s overused in arguments, yes. I do strongly feel that there are some that feel that way, and not it a good way. Like people who just tell me that I’m stupid cause I think the content is alright, and that my opinion is invalid because I didn’t play enough Halo 3. Why does it matter? What makes their opinions, anymore valid than mine? If they bring strong arguments to the table, I’ll get it, I’ll see their reason. And I have, I’ve read how people value the content. But not after being called delusional and naive, cancer, etc. It’s why I brought it up.

You started off by saying people were acting like entitled kids, an insult that could have been left out in the first place.
I get what you were saying with your thread and I hope me saying this helped a little bit in explaining things, but we’re a passionate bunch of -Yoinks!- sometimes XD

Yeah, it does help. I probably should have, but a lot of the time here, talking in extremes is all that is understand. More often than not a level head takes a while to show up. Once again thanks

I understand, a LOT of us have tried being patient with things going on and I used to be one of those people parading around and defending 343, but I’m tired of the Remix maps and I’m honestly tired of how the Campaign went, especially regarding Cortana of all things when a member of 343 clearly said her death was an obvious fate for her by Halo 4…
