A Red vs Blue Spops Season

Would it be cool to bring the guys from red vs blue back for one last hoorah by dedicating an entire spartan ops season to paling around with them?

The first missions would be more commical (ie. spying on reds with a sniper rifle or helping lopez find parts to a warthog) but then progressively becoming more bad-yoink- like defending the gulch against promethean invaders or something more linked to the RVB universe.

And i bet there isnt a single one of you who wouldnt want take a mission from to Caboose

It would be great to take an episode off season 2 for a few dedicated RVB missions (especially if we end up going into caboose’s brain.) I think it might get old though if you had to keep it up for a full 5 to 10 weeks.

season being only 5 episodes

Yes…one episode for RVB, 4 for the normal course of the series, which gives you I think enough time (5 missions) to have fun without overdoing it.

You act like Red vs Blue is finished. It’s not. The current storyarc has been finished but it’ll come back.

Won’t lie though, if we had some encounters in a Halo game that’d be like the CGI parts in Red vs Blue, that’d be sick. Problem is though, they actually captured the awesomeoness of what a Spartan (or Freelancer) can do. It’s not possible in gameplay.

to me it wouldn’t be overdoing it, episode 5 with miller and roland coupled with hard gameplay was overdoing it. I actually missed palmer’s egghead comments.

i disagree, if 343i can make a promethean blast an elite out of his ghost with a shotgun and then turn around and closeline the other i think 343i can recreate tex beating the crap out of someone.

Maybe for enemies and NPCs, sure. I’m talking about what you yourself can do as a player though. You’re kind of limited, to, ya know, what you have. You can’t just dual wield shotguns or do cartwheels around enemies with turrets and juggle flamethrowers. Lol

Plus the CGI is done by Axis Animation anyway, and judging from the latest episode, they can’t telegraph their fights too well. It looked kind of pathetic.

I really do think that you’re the only one. :stuck_out_tongue:

Anyway given how long the sieries has been running I guess RT would probably be able to fill the space of an entire season but I just don’t see how that could really be THAT much more enjoyable compared to a smaller, more focused vignette. One caboose is an idiot joke is great, two or three builds character, but after a dozen the gag runs down and at the very least just doesn’t live up to the earlier stuff.

I would enjoy this as a filler during the wait for season two of spartan ops, a nice comedic break for 5 weeks tops

ohh. my bad i thought you did mean the npc’s. Yeah i can see where that would be kind of sad.

Shut up and take my money!!!

In seriousness, I like the idea provided the season is a couple of episodes. Comedic relief would be good.
