Is there any chance there will be a similar single player mode similar to the War of The Ring mode in Battle For Middle Earth 2 on PC ? I have completed the games and still to this day play the War of the Ring mode. The War Of The Ring mode is a large map divided onto territories and domination is the goal.This a great game mode as it’s always changing and you keep getting invaded and stuff just great to play. Many Thanks.

That was pretty much in all the modes. I know for sure it’s in War Of The Ring mode and the campaign. Not 100% sure about online.

I don’t think HW2 will have a world map, is just few maps like HW, CA could have implemented their Total War World Map style tho, i still play a lot of Medieval 2 just because i like that open world thing, it wont be in HW2 tho

It’s possible, but if the had a game mode like that they would probably be pushing it more rather than blitz. So it’s not very likely.

I LOOOOOVE that mode. I am too ashamed to tell how many hours I’ve spent on that mode in Middle Earth II. I love LOVE that mode in RTS games, a big reason why I love Total War. Unfortunate there is no way it will be a thing in Halo Wars 2. In a different Halo RTS, totally. The chance is there but again for Halo Wars 2 it’s never gonna happen.

As the Open Poster mentioned, yes it’s a thing for all modes. It’s because you need to find Gollum and kill him to get the ring and then you take it to your fort. In the War of the Ring mode you can find the ring on the map if I remember correctly and if you take it to your capital you can start to recruit Galadriel or Sauron depending on your race.

I loved Sauron’s attack that just annihilated anyone in front of him. Unfortunately, my disc is scratched 2 hell.
