For those complaining about Halo 4 have a look at what Gears is doing to itself right now. That is the suicide you guys are saying Halo 4 is committing. Please rethink some of the unjust hate on Halo 4 and try to address real problems like the low framerate on shatter and lag problems on wreckage (maybe that is just me) or vehicle vulnerability to loadout weapons (which needs to increase exponentially, especially against the DMR.
All I am saying in short is that Gears of War is the one committing the atrocity of total self destruction not Halo. Give 343 a break. Nothing against Epic Games but just want to give a reality check.
I understand the “need” for this post but if the people done voice their concerns enough game developers will continue to make mistakes. The community needs to do what they’re doing and continue to do so in order to see any positive changes in the game series many of us grew up with.
343 also needs to do their part and “listen” to their community but that will never happen.

Gears of War 3 was amazing. Epic did a great job with it and it had the best multiplayer in the series.
Halo 4 is the complete opposite and is the lowest point the Halo series has ever seen.

343 needs to respond to there community they have been far to quite and not interacting with them at all.
They also need to have ranked and social playlists for halo 4.
I am referring to Gears Judment, have a look at what it has done to the series. No DBNO or Locust in multiplayer and many more things. But lets not get into that here. Gears 3 was amazing by the way and I agree with it having the best multiplayer.

Um most of the complaints about the game are not over trivial or insignificant things. Many of the problems this game has makes or breaks it for a large portion of the community.
A lot of the complaints against the DMR and Boltshot are over the top, yes having a pocket shotgun really hurts the Scattershot and Shotgun as well as the sword and hammer. DMR has a bit too much power on large open maps when the honor should go to the sniper class weapons. DMR shouldn’t be superior to everything else at long/medium range when historically it was replaced by the other weapons.

Those are only a fraction of the complaints and problems this game has. Would balancing the dmr and boltshot make people happy yes, and should these problems be addressed yes, the balancing of weapons is not something that i would call trivial in a fps. You have to tackle the problems this game has now or 343 risks losing a large portion of the halo fanbase.

A big problem is on Wreckage and Shatter there are a lot of lag (Wreckage) and lag/low framerate (Shatter). I think another big problem is that vehicles are still paper mache and way too vulnerable to loadout weapons. PP should not be allowed in loadouts because it gives a tool of destruction for griefers and free anti vehicle weaponry on spawn making the vehicle combat scarce when the PP is combined with plasma grenades. I see tanks, wraiths, and mantis mechs go down in seconds due to this whether from their own team or the enemy. The banshee still gets mowed down by the DMR, the warthog (unless gauss) is so weak that people use it less for the turret and more to run over as many people as they can before their death. The ghost is the only vehicle that survives long enough to really have an impact on a match (that or they spawn fast enough that they are frequently on the field).

And those are a lot of problems that people complain about. But i wouldn’t label people complaining about the dmr and boltshot as going over the top. They see it as a big problem they want fixed so they can enjoy halo. Just as you want the problems you just listed to be fixed so you can enjoy halo more.
Eh, honestly if I had to say the only real issues I feel Halo 4 has at the moment, I would say not including Team Snipers and a simple Classic Playlist with rotating game types, CTF, Slayer, Oddball, KoTH, etc, permanently would be my main concern. But thats for the other players, not myself since I do not play Team Snipers or FFA game types.
Otherwise I feel the game overall is very well done and balanced, and my only need at the moment is a Forge World with Forerunner texturing :), just so I can recreate some concepts I built in Reach, H3,.
The rest of the things will be included in the future and I am in no rush for them, but maybe thats just because I am grown and patient perhaps.

You have to learn how to use the weapons efficiently, and atleast the Vehicles can be damaged by the actual Armor Piercing ammunition such as what the DMR uses, in Halo 2 the Vehicle balance was god awful and 4 beefed the Vehicles up alot compared to how they were in Reach.
The Plasma Pistol is not something I will ever be concerned about, its one of those use it or lose it situational weapons, and I figure they will soon make it to where griefers are unable to exist, alot have been perma banned as well.

I would rather have the weapon out of matchmaking until it is balanced. I don’t want to have to deal with a broken weapon for several months until one day it is finally fixed. I would rather see the weapon removed from matchmaking and then put back in once it was balanced.
For instance the map complex was completely broken. Glitches ruined the map. I would have preferred if the map was removed from matchmaking as soon as these problems became apparent then once it was fixed it could be re-introduced into matchmaking.

Very true, Gears 3 had some of the best experiences in it, but it had major issues coming out of the gate much more than Halo 4 has ever had, and you have not seen framerate issues unless you were playing Matchmaking on Gears 3 the first 2-3 months, it was epic…
Once the tweaks and balancing was done it worked fine and they were able to fix its issues with further updates. People also have to realize that if your connection speed is below 3.0 MB you will possibly suffer lag or framerate issues just because your connection is similar to a Dinosaur at this point and Xbox Live recommends 3.0 MB or higher for Video Games.
Give 343i respectful and polite opinions, and concerns, dont disrespectfully bash them or act like you deserve a hand out from them because you do not, and being annoying or bashing them over and over will only earn yourself a permanent ban.
also its way to easy to rank up in halo4 all you really need to do to rank up is play spartan ops not even needing to do multiplayer to rank up
I can tell you know NOTHING.
yeah GOWJ is removing locusts and DBNO from MP, however there`s plenty of things its doing right.
-removed stopping power
-removed active reload buffs
-better control scheme
-can no longer plant nades on walls in MP
-maps made specifically for certain gametypes
-Overrun mode (kinda like beast and horde mixed together)
-less BS in campaign (thank god for this one)
now Im not saying that I agree with everything theyre doing (sniper rifle at spawn wtf?) however don`t act like a skin for your character is the death of the GOW franchise.
I actually gave up on the GOW franchise about a year ago so you can tell I`m not lying when I say that GOWJ is looking like a great game.

How can something be balanced if it is removed from the base in which it is being tested. Internal testing only goes so far.
