Just hear me out for a little bit. you have not experienced having fun in halo until you have played custom games with a lobby full of your friends. Yeah i know some of you are competitive but unless you are winning every game you’re not always having fun. So my solution to fixing halo is simple, make everything optional. Make AA’s optional, make sprint optional, make loadouts optional, make “perks” optional. All the things that are listed about make mulitplayer suck. But most of those things make a lot of cool and fun custom games. So why not just make playlist excluding all the new stuff? there is no need to get rid of stuff because believe it or not Armor lock was fun to have in custom games. And to please all you people that love ranks, make two separate tabs in matchmaking one for competitive and one for casual. Then within those tabs are all the playlists. There is no need to make competitive players play casual players. In my opinion all the stuff 343 has added is great but there is a lot of people who disagree so just keep everything and make it optional to play with it. It would solve most of the problems between the old and the new halo players. Please let me know what you guys think, it sounds like a good idea but i could be missing something.
I have personally given up hope for Halo 4. I am an older fan and would like to see a playlist that was like the originals but not some Mlg pro stuff as 343 thinks that pro settings is what people meant by classic. I just hope that in Halo 5 that will get the memo that not a lot of people really enjoy the new features. All I’m asking for is a simple playlist that stays true to Halo CE, Halo 2, Halo 3, and Reach. This would mean you start with an assault rifle, a magnum, and 2 Frags, and a radar.
I kind of miss that stuff too. I liked starting out equal. But at the same time i like like having a dmr, or br, or carbine. I don’t want the other crap, i just want that. If they could get the main weapons balanced then i think it could work. The game is more interesting with different weapons in the mix. I wan’t meaning make a old players and new players playlist. i meant, go back to classic for both competitive and casual but just keep everything for custom games. and maybe throw in like a playlist in each group for the people who like the new halo. But the main point of this was to just say that getting rid of stuff doesn’t solve it. Adding the option to play with it does.
